Seasons passed, as well as piercings, and the urge was still there, so I rushed to BME to do some research.
At first I came across a pubic piercing, which I absolutely loved (and still do), but I didn't really like the idea of ending up with some nasty scar right above my dick, since it's a surface piercing and there's always the possibility of rejection.
The two other options were a hafada (scrotal piercing), or a frenum. Finally I decided to go with frenum first. (The hafada will probably follow some day in the near future though)
I did some research on the web, mostly here on BME, and discovered it's a pretty easy and painless piercing.
I really liked the idea of piercing myself (to be honest, I didn't think I would be comfortable with some stranger playing with my privates in a non-sexual way either), so I figured this was my chance to do so.
Ebay is my friend, so I ordered professional, sterile equipment: a 14 gauge(1.6mm) captive bead ring, a 14 gauge needle (the blade kind, not a catheder needle), a cork, some alcohol swabs, etc.
Since this was going to be the first time I would pierce myself, of even see myself getting pierced, I was kind of worried I would faint or something. I knew that one of my friends had EMLA cream (a topical anesthetic) she used when she was a kid, so I asked if I could borrow some. (Yes, I'm a pussy)
First I took a shower and washed my privates with Provon medicated soap, which I use to clean my nipple piercing. When the big moment was there I applied some of the cream on my frenum.
The instruction leaflet said to cover the cream up with a band-aid. The idea of pulling it off the head of my penis (which, unlike my frenum, woudn't be anesthesized) didn't really appeal to me though, so I ended up with a paper tissue wrapped around my dick. This worked out just fine. It would take about 45 minutes to numb the skin. In the meanwhile I put all the equipment in its place: forceps, a marker, rubber gloves, lube, alcohol preb pad, some paper towels, the cork to receive the needle, the 14 gauge captive bead ring, a taper in case I wouldn't be able to get the CBR through, and last but not least the 14gauge piercing needle.
When I was all numb down there I took another shower and washed my penis with Provon again, just to make sure I was really clean down there
I sat down, made myself comfortable, marked the spots the needle would go through and clamped on the forceps. I took the needle out of the sterilization pouch and dipped it in the lube so it would go through smoothly. I placed the cork against my skin on one side, the needle on the other, took a deep breath and pushed it through.
And I didn't feel anything whatsoever! By this time I got pretty shakey, but I was able to get in the CBR pretty easily.
Because of all the adrenaline rushing through my body I forgot to put on the gloves and clean the area with the alcohol pad, but since I washed it several times with the Provon soap it worked out fine. To be sure I swabbed it afterworths.
There was no blood, no pain, and it looked absolutely amazing!
I was so thrilled, so proud of myself, but also kinda worried it would hurt like hell when the EMLA cream wore off.
Fortunately that wasn't the case, I still didn't feel a single bit of pain!
The first 3 days or so it hurt a little to urinate, a burning feeling, but I guess that's normal since I had a hole in my dick.
After a week it still looked gorgeous and it didn't hurt at all to clean the piercing.
Now, almost 10 months later, it still looks amazing. Because I used only 14 gauge equipment I stretched it as well. The larger the gauge, the smaller the chance it will get torn out while doing... You know... Stuff. I will probably write a story about the stretching as well, so be prepared. At this moment I'm up to about 3 gauge (6mm).
Even though I did this one myself, I do NOT recommend piercing yourself. You should get a professional to do it for you to avoid problems. Your body is your most valuable possession and you shouldn't take any risks injuring or hurting yourself. Do NOT use this story as a guideline. If you do anyway, I am NOT responsible for the results.
