Heres the story of my very own DIY frenum piercing. It something that I considered for a long time before actually going through with. I was fully aware of all the risks associated with ANY kind of piercing as well as the risks of piercing the oh-so important part of the male anatomy. I would reccomend getting this piercing done by a professional if you aren't completely confident in your abilities to do so. This is a exceptionally pleasurable piercing once it has healed completely, but you cant have sex or masturbate comfortably for at least a few weeks after the piercing is done, or you could risk causing it to reject because of pulling or stressing the pierced area. After a month, I felt virtually no tenderness at the area, although this was around the time I decided to start stretching it. Frenum piercings seem to be the least "extreme" of all penile piercings and as far as I can tell, they would be a good stepping stone as to seeing whether or not you could "handle" a prince albert or a crown.

Basically, I liked the look of genetal piercings on both males and females. I wanted one in the worst way, and having already stretched my ears to half inch I knew I wanted at LEAST a 4 gauge hole somewhere "down there".

It was a few weeks before I garnered enough courage to attempt my DIY "banjo string" piercing. I smoked a few hits from the bong and got everything I needed to do the piercing.

I chose a comfortable spot on the floor in the bathroom and sterilized my frenum and surrounding area with rubbing alcohol and a spray down of bactine. I washed my hands with soap and water and busted out sterile surgical gloves from the first aid kit. I cleaned my stainless steel needle with first rubbing alcohol and then a rubdown of bactine. I marked the spot I wanted to be pierced with a fine tip marker (just below the glans about 5 mm in.) It pushed through after a remarkable amount of force and with a small popping sensation. It felt like a bit of a pinch but generally not completely unpleasant. I could compare it to strongly pinching the soft flesh on your wrist, just underneath your palm. The popping sensation was most definetly the worst part of the experience, the only time I felt any truly shocking pain.

I left it to heal and it pretty much did its own thing for a few weeks. Eventually I noticed it had stretched itself out a bit so I threw a captive bead on it and left it to finish healing. The captive bead stretched it a fair amount and I just kept putting larger jewlery in untill I reached a 4 gauge.I experimented with diferent kinds of jewlery at this point. The first I tried was a heavy steel bull ring that seemed to stretch things out a lot more than I would like. Next I tried an acrylic captive bead but found it gathered too much crusty crap for my liking. I went on the look for a barbell but eventually settled on a nice little steel tunnel that I am still wearing today. Its nice and lightweight and I don't feel it bumping my leg all day the way I did with the larger jewelery. It rarely every gets any crusties on it , but I clean it every single day because Im a stickler for clean piercings and fear infections like I fear circus clowns. I used a saline solution for the first few weeks and once I felt that it wouldnt dry my gear out too much, I switched to a solution of bactine spiked with isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Note, no lighters near your gear if you are to be using this stuff! (But they shoudlnt be down there anyways!) Unfortunately, I think it may have started to migrate towards the surface (not rejecting, just sort of being dragged slowly out, most likely due to the size of my jewlery.)

I am overall really pleased with the piercing. Not too painful, in comparison to stretching my lobes and i might get a few more along the bottom of my penis in the future. I am considering doing a frenum ladder of 6 or more piercings. I am going to do my second fenum as soon as I can verify that this one is going to eventually migrate its way out of my penis. If the frenum piercing dosent work out, I am going to consider getting a prince albert. I like the looks of crowns and I am currently looking for a piercer nearby with expertise in that kind of piercing. I highly reccomend genetal piercings for both their aesthetic and sexual value. The small amount of pain and discomfort is well worth the end result.
