This is actually my very first piercing experience ever. The thought of having my genitals pierced never really appealed to me, but sometime near the end of last year I stumbled on some pictures of penis piercings, specifically Prince Alberts and became interested in what their function was anyways. I did a lot of research and ended up on BMEZine, and ended up really liking the idea of having my penis pierced, not only for the increased stimulation but also just for the look of it. Given my family and their strict religious background, and group of friends and work environment which is generally extremely close minded and oblivious to any sort of piercings or body mods, I was really stepping out of bounds here.

I definitely was looking for a more subtle touch to really set my penis apart from the average that most women see, and while I was at it a little extra stimulation or sensitivity would be completely welcome. I initially really wanted to get a double dydoe piercing, and was pretty much dead set on it. I called a few places and most would tell me to try elsewhere. I ended up calling a place a friend recommended to me since he knows some of the staff and after talking to a piercer there he recommended against it, saying that they generally don't heal well and that he's also seen them rip out before. He recommended a frenum as a good choice to start with, so I told him I'd get back to him about it. I recall seeing frenums but I remember they didn't appeal to me as much as the dydoes. After looking them up and seeing how they looked I figured they gave a pretty good visual effect, kind of like a bow tie almost. At this point I was actually kind of happy to have considered the frenum over the dydoe, they were a little more subtle.

When it came time to get the piercing I figured what's the worst that could happen and went into it with no fear. I met with the piercer, he explained the procedure to me, showed me the 14g curved barbell he planned on putting inside and suggested we get started if I didn't have any questions or concerns. When I lay down and he put the clamps on I got nervous all of a sudden, pretty much anticipating when the needle went in. Truthfully the pain wasn't that bad, I honestly have a worse time trimming the pubes on my balls. It didn't bleed at all at first either, and it looked pretty damn cool. I felt really jumpy after, like a huge rush came over me, followed by extreme fatigue. I found this feeling would come over me every time I got pierced after this.

I remember that night, I worked as a bouncer and I was on the dancefloor standing on a platform watching over the crowd, and girls would always come up to me and grind up on me. I was so tender from th piercing that it just plain hurt, after the night was done I remember just peeking in my underwear and seeing blood streaks all around it, not the best start. As for the aftercare I would just wash it with non bacterial soap and water in the morning and before bed, and use H2Ocean on it. It was really soar and a little swollen the next day and a few days after, but after about a week or 10 days I was good to start functioning again, but still gently. After about 3 weeks I'd say I was pretty well recovered. I followed the aftercare instructions I got and washed it daily, and I used H2Ocean on it religiously, many times a day, every time I got an itch I'd just throw some H2Ocean on and it really helped. I had alot of white discharge in the beginning but it stopped after a few weeks. The jewelry still manages to collect a little bit of crust now and then but nothing significant. My erections are definitely a lot stiffer now and it hasn't been intrusive enough to interfere or cause problems with any women I've been with since.

All in all I'm extremely happy with the frenum. The curved barbell was really a good choice of jewelry cause it fit the shape of the underside of my penis shaft which really reduced the pressure that would've been put on while it was healing. If I were to change anything I'd have probably gotten it pierced at a 10g initially but I didn't know better at the time, that being my first piercing. I'm hoping to stretch it eventually, hopefully down toe 6 or 8g, depending on how it looks. I haven't planned on adding to it just to keep it simple. If anyone is reading this and considering getting one done, I'd say go for it cause it's really not that bad to get, and if you want to take it out it'll close up no problem.
