Having already made my first tentative step into the world of genital piercing with my PA (which can be found here on BME) I found myself feeling unfinished. I was pleased with the aesthetic of the PA but the whole area seemed like it was lacking something. I thought about what I could do to try and rectify this and started thinking in terms of taking my PA up a gauge or two from the 10ga it was pierced at. Whilst I decided this was a good plan it didn't seem like that would be enough to make me feel completed. I started the age old ritual of going through the BME galleries for inspiration. I decided that I liked the look of frenums but wasn't sure that they would be the right thing for me. I thought on it some more and decided that I liked the idea of having a similar piercing but lower down, right at the base of my shaft. I wasn't really sure whether this was feasible or not so some more looking around and I found exactly what I was imagining. I had the idea I wanted, and even a name to put to it. My name is Sam and I want a lorum, haha.

I parked up and made my way to Millenium to go find Carl. We chatted for a little while and then I told him what I was after, he explained that I'd have to go across town to pick up the jewellery I wanted for my PA but that the lorum was all go. Of course the PA is another story so I'll jump straight to the actual experience.
After sitting down and having my PA stretched it was time to get going on the second part of my trip. I'd pretty much already figured that there wasn't going to be too much pain involved, after all, it's just skin right? Carl explained that whilst it wouldn't be as bad as my PA had been I'd be feeling a pretty hot stinging whilst the needle was heading through. Once we were both happy that we were prepared I laid back down.
Carl picked my dick up and laid it back out the way which is always a way to relax those nerves, being handled and delicately placed by a guy that I see regularly, you can't help but laugh about it all. He let me know that he was going to use a little ink on the end of a cocktail stick to draw some marks up just to help him make sure that it went straight to save having to pierce more than once to get it right. We'd already discussed where it was that I wanted it so this part went pretty quickly. Once Carl was satisfied he grabbed the clamp and told me to prepare for some pressure. As it bit down onto me I took a breath in and prepared for the needle to begin its journey. Carl was right when he said I'd be feeling a hot stinging, the best way to describe the sensation is that it was like an arc, it started ok, got bigger and then diminished again all very fast. I'd probably estimate that the entire thing from clamping to needle out lasted no more than one minute and the result for me was perfect. I finally felt like things were a big step closer to being finished, at least in that area! We'd decided to use PTFE to help healing get going faster so it was threaded through and snipped down with a little extra room to account for swelling. For a change the balls screwed straight on with no fiddling or fishing for dropped balls, something always best avoided!
About a week into healing I had to venture back into town to have a slightly longer bar put in as the area swelled more than either of us thought it would, with that done healing has been super easy with just twice daily salt soaks. I clipped the bar down myself with a pair of nail clippers once I was all healed up and since then I've not needed to do anything with it at all and in fact I'm considering adding a couple more to create my very own mini ladder. For anyone considering a first step into genital mods I'd sure suggest that a lorum could be a good first step to get you introduced to the idea of being handled down there and it's also not too intrusive sexually which is always a plus side!
