I've always been interested in piercing since I can remember, it wasn't till I got older that I found that I could do what I wanted especially when I left home. I started with my genitals to see what I could pierce because it was one of the few places that wouldn't be exposed to anyone like friends or family at some point in time. I was still trying to find myself and was worried what my family would think about getting pieced. Eventually as time went on my brothers had gotten tattoos, I got the confidence to do more piercing.

Trying different areas up and down the shaft of my penis, I put holes in my skin and loved the painful yet erotic feeling. I had three at one point in time but the only thing missing was the object that I would put there in those wholes to keep the feeling going. Couple months later I visited a local Wal-mart and went to the jewelry section of finding some rods to use. I could only afford one so that's all I bought and went home to try it out. All the holes closed up because I took the needles out so I had to redo one of them. The sensation instantly came back; there was only one problem...
...The needle (being small for stitching) and the rod's sizes didn't match up. The rod was too big. It took me another week till I figured to use the needle to open it then trying a bigger safety pin to stretch it. After I had the safety pin in, it seemed snug and I didn't want to wear a safety pin. It seemed kind of like a "Punk" like thing to do, but that's not what I wanted. What to do I thought. Then it occurred to me that if you use weight it should pull and stretch. That's what I decided to do when the chance presented itself again.
Thin rope and small objects that were heavy but not too heavy is what I gathered to make this work. I did it for a couple days in which I used cheap regular hoop earrings to keep the hole from closing up. Each time I stretched using a heavier weight. It was about maybe the third or fourth day into this when I got frustrated with the lack of progress and decided to use a five pound weight which was a lot more weight than anything I was using before. Anyways the skin gave and ripped. It didn't hurt, by this time pain was a friend of mine, but I think that just the shock of my penis bleeding and ripped was more unnerving. I bandaged it up and let it go for a while. It healed up just as good as new.
A month later all I could think about was the sensation that it brought when I attempted it. It either never occurred to me or was too shy and embarrassed about seeing a professional about piercing that area. So I decided to attempt it again, this time I thought about it longer and looked for better spots to put one. Last time I figured my skin gave because it was too little skin. The piercing was too close to the surface. I had to get more skin in there.
I began once again, this time with more caution. The new piercing was just a little below where the last one was. Again I did the weights but more patient and cautious. Then when I was satisfied that it would be big enough I put the rod in. It was a great feeling. But that didn't last too long. After a month or two the sensation was gone and I couldn't tell it was even there half the time.
So it had to be bigger. First I set out to find a hoop or rod to use. Once I had that I went home and did more stretching. But after a little while even the hoop wasn't good enough. By then I was using anything and everything to stretch it bigger and bigger with the sensation growing with the size of the hole.
I've finally found a hoop to put in it that makes it feel good and my fiancé loves it. The hole is big enough to put a pen through it. I have had two earrings, nipple rings which I have also done myself (but that's another story) and my fiancé and I are now discussing tongue rings. The moral of the story? If you're interested and want to do it save yourself the hassle and time, get over yourself and have a professional do it!
