When It just happened
Location Cambridge, UK
I've fancied the thought of being circumcised and having a prince albert (centred where the fren was) ever since I first saw one, 15 years ago. I keep nearly getting round to getting cut, but always chicken out. I need the circumcision first so the PA can be centred exactly how I want it.

I've tried holding the foreskin back, but it's pretty uncomfortable as the fren always pulls it forward, catching pubes. So one evening I decided to cut off my fren - a simple cut through it so it would stop pulling my foreskin back over the glans. I got a sharp knife, sterilised it, prodded it a bit... and chickened out. The next day I tried again, and the same thing happened. I gave up, and had to explain to my neighbour why my craft knife had been sterilised in a flame!

A month later, I decided that I may as well pierce the fren, before I lose it forever. At least this would be fully reversible, unlike cutting through it. So I ordered a 16g barbell and needle from ebay. This arrived within a couple of days, but I was about to go on holiday, so I decided to leave it until I got back.

Now, I've never had a piercing before, so didn't know what to order. It was pretty much obvious that 14g was too thin. But if I didn't go ahead with it, I'd keep putting it off. I decided now was the time to do it.

I (probably stupidly) decided I needed to be a bit drunk to get round to doing it. I decided to open a bottle of red wine. This would give me a cork for the needle to go into! Cunning, I thought. So I swigged two glasses of that, washed the cork in water, then sprayed it in some IPA alcohol spray. I had no idea how much I'd bleed, so I put a carrier bag on my bed, a roll of kitchen roll beside me, and sat on the bag.

Next I opened up the packet the needle was in. I now had to go ahead, otherwise I'd waste the three quid :-). It was bloody awkward holding the cork in place, stretching the fren, and positioning the needle. After a few minutes of failing to gather up enough courage, mostly as I wasn't convinced about the positioning, I decided to mark the spot with a pen.

I again positioned the cork, stretched the skin I was about to pierce, and this time tried to force the needle through. Bloody skin just stretched, with a bit of a sharp pen where it was being prodded. I just wasn't confident enough to push hard enough.

Amazingly, I decided I really had to go ahead with it. I was being such a girl. So I forced it through in one quick push. Christ. I instantly realised what I'd done. I now had a needle through my dick. I had practically no pain. I had no idea why I'd taken so long to get round to doing this. Especially to a part of my body I didn't actually want to keep!

So, I pulled the needle back out, and realised that was a mistake. There was a bit of blood, but mostly only due to me being a bit stupid. I should've put the barbell through immediately after the needle. It was much more fiddley getting the barbell through than I'd expected.

So, I sat there, adrenaline buzzing. I'd actually started out on the road to getting a circ then PA. Trouble is, I actually like the look of this piercing, so I may end up keeping the fren. It's on the bottle of the knob, so it's not visible to anyone, and will almost always be covered in foreskin, so showers at the gym aren't a going to be embarrassing (yes, that's the main reason I've not been circed yet. I'm thinking of switching gym :-) )

I still reckon that 16g is too small. I reckon I'll stretch it to probably 12g pretty soon. As it's so thin, I reckon it could actually tear through the fren, which would be very painful. I'll probably order one of these soon and try to stretch it in a month or so (apparently it shouldn't be sooner - I guess because it was so bloody tricky getting the bar through when the hole's the same size as the needle, getting a larger diameter bar through a smaller hole is gonna hurt).

I reckon in a year I may go ahead with a PA, though I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep the fren, or get it removed so the PA can go through centrally. I certainly am not going to be so useless in getting a piercing again.
