I'm an FTM, that is, a female-to-male transsexual, who has been on testosterone for about three months now. My dick has grown a lot during that time, which I was eagerly waiting for so I could get it pierced, much to the amusement of my friends.

The general opinion was:

"You've waited so long for your dick to grow when you started testosterone, now you want to get holes put in it??"

My main issues with getting pierced were:

1) My dick is still growing, so I'll have to get something which won't be in danger of causing damage or migrating as my dick grows

and

2) Piercers staring at me. After all, while my dick could eat most clitori for breakfast, it still isn't actually a full-sized dick per se, it's more like _really_ huge female junk.

A friend had recommended "Body Cult" to me, having got several piercings there before, so I decided to go check it out. When I entered the shop it had a few other customers in there and I was feeling pretty embarrassed and nervous when Sandy asked what exactly I was interested in. I explained I was transgendered and wanted a genital piercing and she assumed I was male-to-female, which was somewhat amusing.

She handed me a photo album with a bunch of pierced dicks in it and asked to point out what I was after. I quickly skimmed through to find the frenum piercing, as I knew what I was after, but didn't want to have to explain to the world that some piercings in there - say anything on the scrotum - were completely out.

After the customers left, I was able to explain things to Sandy a bit more easily. She was really friendly and fairly enthusiastic - she'd never pierced an FTM before - but we both agreed it might be a good idea for her to look at what she was piercing so I could properly describe what I was after.

I'd already decided that I wanted to get a frenum ladder a while back, but decided just to get a lorum to start off with. I call it such and not a 'horizontal hood piercing' because quite frankly my junk is way too big for most female piercings, barring a triangle piercing which I wasn't particularly interested in. And how many girls can get a ladder piercing on their clit anyway? Sandy and I both enthused that I could have really unique piercings - say a triangle/frenum ladder - because of my unusual anatomy, but I decided against it.

The figuring of where to position the piercing took a little while and a mirror, before finally getting it settled and marked out. I was slightly embarrassed at first at having to show a stranger my anatomy, but she was pretty cool about it. She told me an anecdote about some guy who tipped her extra for not laughing at his small dick, which lightened the mood, but it was easy to feel at ease around her. I suppose being absolutely shameless on my part probably helped too.

The actual piercing wasn't as bad as I thought. I had to hold my outer labia out of the way for her to pierce my dick, which I wasn't so thrilled about, having visions of ripping them off in fits of agony, but it wasn't actually that painful. A few seconds of white-hot pain, about as piercing as a two-year-old's screaming, then it stopped hurting. We were talking when she was putting the jewelery through, so I didn't even notice it go through, and it hasn't actually hurt that much since.

On the other hand - disaster! It was crooked!

Neither Sandy nor I can figure it out - "It was perfectly straight when you were lying down!" she scowled. We're not sure if it's because it's swollen or else because holding my labia out of the way pulled on the skin slightly, but it's pretty damn lopsided.

On the other hand it looked incredibly awesome, and we were both pretty happy with it. Sandy took a picture and I might even make it to the wall of fame in her shop. :-)

It's now a day later and still quite swollen and as lopsided as before. I'm considering taking it out and getting her to repierce it just because if I'm getting a ladder I don't want the top rung to make the rest wonky. For now I'll wait until the swelling goes down and see if it makes a difference.

And despite preconceptions, getting my lorum pierced hasn't actually been that painful. I'm not limping and in fact can barely feel it. Cleaning the piercing did cause a few stabs of pain but that was it. Seriously, if you're a masochist, don't bother getting your dick pierced, it doesn't hurt for long enough. :-

I'd definitely recommend "Body Cult" to my friends, and will definitely go back there myself, despite this minor set-back with the piercing's positioning.
