Having had my Prince Albert piercing done over 10 years ago, the desire to add to the collection had been growing for some time! Not having access to a regular piercer, I have to wait long periods of time between piercings but on this occasion I wasn't willing to wait for my regular piercer - I just wanted the piercing!

With this in mind, I had thought of the usual nipple, navel piercings but wasn't sure that I wanted these particular piercings (Have since had both of my nipples pierced with 1.6mm BCRs). Anyway, I was travelling round the world, as you do, and happened upon Innersteel in Queenstown, New Zealand. Took a trip in, was impressed by the set up and thought the owner was cool! Had a chat about what piercings I could get and talked about the usual - nipples, navel, maybe even a septum. However, wasn't convinced by these and so started talking genital. Dave pulled out a book of piercings that he had performed and when I saw the Scrotal ladder, I was hooked - I wanted a ladder of my own!
Just to make sure it was what I really wanted, I decided that rather than have the piercings done there and then, I would wait 24 hours and allow some time to think things over. This isn't uncommon for me. Next morning, the piercings were still in mind and I was determined to go ahead and have them done.
We had talked placement and price the previous day and how I might need to shave the "crown jewels" in order to achieve correct placement. With razor in hand I did the necessary although the nerves were so severe that I might cut myself it took a while.
Freshly shaved and moisturised, make sure you do - stops the razor burn, I headed off to the studio to get my piercings. Nerves didn't even surface this time and I confidently strode into the shop and placed my order.
I really wanted 3 piercings done but unfortunately, a lack of matching jewellery meant that i was restricted to having only 2 done on this particular occasion. I signed up, paid up and waited.
Dave headed into the piercing room and I had another flick through his portfolio - I really wanted my ladder now!
I was called in and asked to sit up on the bench where the piercings would be performed. Removing trousers and shorts, "he" decided to head north and and shrank in fear - as per usual. Nevertheless, this was not going to prevent me getting my piercings. I lay down while Dave measured up and marked out the locations of the 2 piercings I was to receive that day. When he was satisfied, he asked if i was happy and I duly agreed.
Dave had all the equipment and jewellery laid out in preparation and I was asked if I wanted to be frozen or fresh for the procedure. Having never been pierced without freeze spray before I was nervous about going au natural but Dave advised it for the quicker healing time and more spiritual aspect of being pierced. I decided to bite the bullet and do without!
Dave set about the piercing quickly and I soon had the forceps applied and I was ready to go. I was told to breathe in and with it the needle was inserted and I had my first scrotal piercing. The jewellery was soon inserted and he moved on to the second. Again, I was clamped up, and the needle slid through without any bother. I had expected some resistance but it didn't happen.
This piercing hurt as little as the first and I was now the proud bearer of two scrotum piercings that I was determined to turn into a scrotal ladder. Standing, I inspected Daves work in the mirror and proudly looked at all three genital piercings - more were definitely to come!
I was instructed how to care for the piercings and promptly pulled my clothes back on. Rather than rush away, I stayed in the shop for another hour or so talking about future plans that I had, travelling and whatever. When I left, I headed back to my hostel, showered and laughed loudly at the fact that i how rattled when I dried myself off and walked around naked. Something I continue to do to this day!
I love my scrotal piercings, although I still haven't managed to turn them into a ladder, those plans are afoot. If you fancy something different or just want to make your scrot more aesthetically pleasing this is the piercing for you. Plus they're fun to play with alone or with company.
