First things first. I really don't advise self-piercing. I just did it because I wasn't going to pay someone else to stick a needle in me, but you really should.

In the end I decided to get a piercing because they look good and if I decided I really didn't like it I could just take it out and let it heal over. Instantly I was drawn to a genital piercing. I did a lot of research and looked at loads of pictures and finally decided a lorum piercing was for me.
When I finally made the decision to get a piercing I went out looking for jewelry. I was drawn to a bead ring but I actually went for a simple, surgical steel barbell because I knew that would be suitable for a lorum piercing (and it was cheaper so it wouldn't mater too much if I decided not to use it).
So after I bought the barbell I left it in its package for about two weeks until I finally plucked up the courage to actually do the piercing. I chose a time when all my family were out and I knew they wouldn't be back for a while-I didn't want to have to rush things did I? I had a few drinks as well to try and calm my nerves but I don't think it helped much.
I went and washed my hands with anti-bacterial soap and washed my penis and balls with it too. Then (following the movie stars) I used a match to sterilize the needle. I sat on my bedroom floor with the barbell in easy reach and tried to get myself ready. My heart was racing and I could hardly believe I was about to do it. But the anticipation of the whole thing made me semi-hard. The mixture of nerves and horniness was amazing!
Carefully I placed the needle on my skin and got it into a place I was happy with. I used a ruler to make sure that the barbell would look Ok and I worked out were the needle would have to come out of to fit properly. I slowly started pushing the needle then I realized that wasn't going to work. At this point I was debating whether to actually do it. It was the fear of pain that was really starting to get to me. But I thought I was being stupid. It would be over in a few seconds then I would have the piercing I wanted for as long as I want. So using a sharp movement, I shut my eyes and I just forced the needle through quickly, nearly stabbing my other hand in the process. I braced myself for a huge amount of pain but it was actually OK. It did hurt but only slightly.
Looking down nervously I realized id done something really wrong. The needle was diagonal and it looked really stupid. So I had to pull the needle out and do it all again. This time I carefully aimed it to make sure it went were I wanted it to. And even then it still wasn't quite right. It was too far to the right. I pulled the needle halfway out and then pushed it back through my skin were I actually wanted it to go. In the end I got it perfect.
Now I had to put the barbell in. I simply used a swift movement of pulling the needle out one way and pushing the jewelry in after it. And that was that, all done. Overall the piercing process was quite arousing. It definitely wasn't a bad experience. Looking back on it I was a bit turned on. It was a weird light headed feeling after I did it. And I love the look of it.
Now a week later I love it! It feels a little tender but it seems to be doing fine and it looks great (not to be big headed). It's still a bit of a shock when I put my hands down my pants and feel it because it feels so different. It's great. And when I masturbate I can feel it and it's a really nice feeling just because it is so different. I get really turned on by just playing with it a bit.
Now I'm thinking of getting some more piercing's. I'm defiantly drawn towards a Prince Albert. And I'm also considering getting a frenum ladder because I think they look amazing. I was also thinking about getting one or both of my nipples pierced. But I still don't know about that. Whatever I decide to do I think I'll go to a piercing parlor. Doing it myself was a good experience but I'd rather get it done properly next time.
I would recommend anyone to get a piercing if they want one. It's something that looks and feels great. But I would advise people to go to a professional because they are more sterile and they'll probably get it right first time! No messing about like I did.
