I had already had a couple of piercings before this one. I had my ears gauged, my lip, my tongue, and my labret done. I have always wanted my frenum pierced, but never had the nerve to do so. The thought of some guy with a needle down there just didn't sound too fun. I thought about this for a very long time, and on April Fools Day I decided to do it. I called up Lonn at Hoops Body Art (from work) and asked him the basic questions on the procedure: How much, pain level, how they did it, and healing time. He told me everything about it including that it was standard to use a 10-gauge needle. Now this didn't hit me till I was off the phone and getting into my car. I almost crapped... 10 GAGE!!! That is the same size they pierced my ears with. Now I was really nervous. He told me he had an opening right in about 20 minutes so he could do it then if I wanted to. So I told him I would be down and I went on my lunch from work.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When A year ago Artist Lonn Studio Hoops Body Art Location Kennewick, WA I arrived at the shop and I was shaking. Never before have I had this kind reaction before getting a piercing. It was like I was going to be put up in front of a firing squad. He had me fill out the paper work and went into the back to prep the area and get everything ready. The whole time I was thinking of just getting the heck out of there and not going through with it. He called me back, so I went in. I watched him open up a new needle and everything. He gave me the same kind of towel that they put around your neck for a tongue and labret piercing. He poked a hole through it and told me to drop my pants and hop up on the table, and stick my penis through the hole. I was pretty embarrassed. The thought of some guy holding my goods did not sit well with me. He cleaned the area and started talking to me about everything and made me feel very comfortable. He told me his experience when he did this piercing on himself and how the pain was not as bad as I was probably thinking. He also told that a lot of guys call about this piercing, but never end up showing up. He said they are probably embarrassed. He said that this piecing isn't out of the norm for him, and that it is just like every other one. He told me to take a deep breath and release it slowly. I closed my eyes expecting the worst pain imaginable and then bang he was done with very little pain. My lip hurt more then this. He cleaned me up went through after care with me and sent my on my way. Lonn was great. Real nice guy made me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation.
I went back to work and was a tad uncomfortable, a little sore. I was pretty proud of my self that I went through with it and did not chicken out. I couldn't wait to tell my girl friend. I called her up and told her and she did not believe me. It was April Fools Day and all. After work I went to her house and showed her. She couldn't believe I went through with it.
The after care was kind of a pain. Cleaning it was a tad painful, if you don't soak it for a while before. Waking up with morning wood was kind of painful and the bar got caught on my boxers a couple times and ripped the hole a little. I suggest wearing tighty whiteys for about a week or two after getting the piercing. I didn't have sex for about a week and a half, but I would suggest waiting a little longer. I just wanted to try it out! It was quite sore after the first couple times my girl friend and I had intercourse. I read a lot about it online and the biggest thing that concerned me was migration. It looked to migrate a little bit, but I am not sure if it was just swollen or actually migrated. I still have it to this day and love it. I am thinking about getting another. If you are thinking about getting it done and are nervous I say just do it, I am very happy I did!
I suggest very much that if you are in the Tri-City area to get your piercings done at Hoops Body Art. I have gotten a couple more done from them and they are always very helpful.
