I got my lip pierced about two months ago, and I should have known that it would lead to more piercings. Honestly, how many people have you seen with just one piercing? After I got my lip pierced, I opted to get my nipples pierced because I was somewhat reluctant to get another one on my face. The nipples can easily be disguised under a short sleeve shirt, etc. They were quite painful to say the least. After the nipples, I followed the same philosophy of keeping the piercings hidden from plain view, so I decided to get a prince albert. My friend is a "frequent piercer" at the local studio, Big Buddha. He knows the piercer well, and she gave me the prince albert for only 20 dollars. I did not do my research and was completely shocked when I discovered the process required a "receiving tube." Nonetheless, I got the piercing. I wish I would have known about BME before I got the piercing done, so that I could have read about the experience and known what to expect.

I was tired of the lip ring and decided that if I got any more piercings they too would be hidden to the public eye. I took the lip ring out and decided to replace it with a frenum piercing. I did my research this time and the general consensus is that the frenum piercing is one of the least painful genital piercings. The piercer charged me the normal rate this time, 55 dollars, and I was ready to go. I had the preconception before entering the room that it was virtually painless, so I was in a pretty good mood. After she prepared all of the materials, I dropped my drawers and was ready to go. We decided that a 12 gauge barbell would be the most appropriate. I'm not very well-endowed and my prince albert is also a 12 gauge. She slid the needle through the skin and it hurt like hell. It was easily more painful than the lip ring and the PA combined. It was a close second to the nipples. It bled a lot more than I had expected. Seeing as most people on this site have told that their frenum bled very little or none at all. That night, I went to sleep and it was still very sensitive. I had a lot of problems sleeping because I have a tendency to sleep on my stomach. Everytime I would roll over onto my stomach, I would wake up and then return to a position on my back. I would look at the clock everytime it happened and it happened about every 45 minutes throughout the night. What a pain in the ass. After finally getting some rest, I woke up to a much different problem.

When I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to see a large circle, approximately 6 inches in diameter, of blood. My boxers were even worse. The entire front was stained red. I had no idea that my penis even contained that much blood. I immediately took a shower to clean the blood which had dried onto the sides of my penis. After returning from the shower I soaked it in a sea salt-water mixture for about 45 minutes. It helped tremendously. It didn't bleed at all following the soaking. I would recommend using sea salt for any piercing on any part of the body. It works miracles. I also clean it a couple of times a day with a saline solution to further promote healing. My roommate also got his frenum pierced at the same time, but his experience was like most others, NO BLOOD AT ALL. That lucky bastard saved himself a pair of boxers.

It has been three days since I got it pierced and now it is healing just fine. I'm going to wait a few weeks and then gauge it out to a 10 gauge. I may decide to get another frenum done underneath the current one, but I just don't want to over-do it. I've seen pictures of guys that really do take it too far. Once it is fully healed I will post a picture on the site. It's a pretty cool looking piercing and I'm glad I got it done. I can't wait to try it out with a "lady friend." I've already begun to do research for the next piercing I'm contemplating and I'm sure that BME is going to have a large part in the process. It is the best site to date that I have found for informative documents about every type of piercing. It looks like I may get a pair of dydoes next, but we'll just have to wait and see. I'll keep you updated.
