I'm writing this to inform and share the experience of my recent frenum piercing. I just had my first genital piercing this past week. I have only been pierced one time previously, and that was my tongue. Unless, of course, you consider an ear piercing that I had about 18 years ago. This was a huge step for me and like most things in life I jumped on in head first. The sexual and visual stimulation is what I wanted so I went for it. I have a feeling the benefits will certainly be achieved from this type of piercing. The look is exactly what I expected, but I will have to wait at least a couple weeks to try actual intercourse.
At A Glance Author Scrappy Contact Scrappy@bme.anon When A week ago Artist Tracy Studio Optic Nerve Location Portland OR I have researched many different types of genital piercings and decided for my first one I would get a frenum about a half inch to an inch below the head on my shaft. It was done in a great shop in Portland by Tracy and she truly is an expert in her field. The shop was a referral from a friend and when I met the piercer, Tracy, and saw the shop I was sure I wanted to have it done. It's very important that you have someone do your piercing that is not only qualified, but makes you comfortable. A good bedside manner when you're having this type of piercing done is a huge plus.
The procedure went very quickly, I was in and out in about 25 minutes. She discussed the piercing with me and had the paperwork for me to fill out and then we chose jewelry and discussed the gauge we would be using for the piercing. I went with a bent 10 gauge bar to start with. When it's healed I plan on changing to a frenum loop, but she suggested that for the healing period it would be best to use the bar. I can say after living with it for a week she was right. The loop in the beginning stages could get snagged as well be a little more uncomfortable pulling on the new piercing.
I must say this shop is as clean and sterile as any hospital or clinic I have ever been in. She had me get on the table and take down my pants. The first thing she did was clean the area for the piercing. We marked the spot for the piercing and I laid back to relax. It was nice to be able to lie down and not have to actually watch the process, some may prefer to see it but I sure didn't. She told me to breathe deeply as she put the area in clamps. She reminded me that continuing to breathe during the piercing was very important. I took about three deep breaths and on the third one the piercing was through and the pain was there and gone. After the piercing was done I was in no real pain and have not experienced any since.
The pain was slightly more than having my tongue pierced, but certainly not extraordinary. It lasts only a few seconds and it's all done. The needle goes through the piercing area then the jewelry is inserted and you are done. I have already started to make plans and look into future piercings. I'm thinking of another Frenum closer to the head, and or, a deep pa or dolphin.
It's healing rather nicely with sea salt, as instructed I have been soaking the piercing twice a day. I don't wear any underwear, which actually seems to help with the healing. A piece of advice though, if you wear jeans wear boxers at least. There has been very little to no swelling or soreness since. I have masturbated twice during the first week, very carefully, but have not experienced any problems from doing so. It was recommended not to, but I just can't help myself. I can't wait to go see Tracy for the next piercing. If you're thinking about a genital piercing I highly recommend it, but do your homework on what and why you want it first. The are many different types and looks to piercings and you want to make sure your getting what you want, not just a hole in your body.
I think the overall appeal of a genital piercing on my body as well as the future benefits for me and the girl friend will be well worth the minor pain I endured to make it happen. I have always found it to be very erotic to see a piercing on a woman and think that could go both ways for the fairer sex. I would certainly like to hear any feedback from women to see whether or not that feeling is the same both ways.
