Ever since I began getting into piercing I always wanted something done on my genitals, though I was never quite sure what.

I went around to all my local piercers, but none felt comfortable doing it so back to the drawing board for me.
Then, a few weeks ago I was walking around town when I noticed a new Tattoo & Piercing shop had finally opened, after having their signs up for about a year, so I went in and had a look. The place was cool, and I began a conversation with the resident piercer there, Dee. We talked for ages about piercings n' shit, and eventually she offered to teach me, pretty cool.
So now all I had to do was save some money, not easy when you work casual, but luckily enough one of the guys at work got sick and I got a whole weeks work.
So now I got about half of what I needed I decided to go back and see Dee just for a chat.
On my way there I ran into one of my best buds, Ryan. I told him where I was going and he said, "are you gonna get your dick pierced?"
Me and him had made a sort of pact a while ago that if one of us was gonna get a genital piercing the other would too, both of us expecting the other never to get it.
I thought about it for a second then said yeah, he said cool and decided to come with me.
Now this wasn't a spur of the moment thing, I had wanted this for ages but only now did I realize I had the money and the opportunity, so I went for it.
We arrived at Insane Ink at about 2:30 and while I started to talk to Dee about doing an Apadravya, Ryan checked the place out. Dee also said she didn't feel comfortable doing one either, then Ryan said, "What about this?", pointing to a frenum.
I had never really considered getting a frenum done as it seemed like a very minor sort of piercing, and I'm more of one for bolder things, but looking at it then I noticed how good it really looked.
I said yeah cool, and we both decided to get one. We flipped a coin to see who would go in first and it ended up being Ryan, so while he was in there getting done I checked out the Flash on the walls.
After about ten minutes Ryan came out walking a bit funny, I asked him if it hurt, he said no but the cold metal felt a little weird. He got a drink from the machine as Dee had told him to, because he was feeling a little light headed, then Dee called me in for my turn.
As she was setting everything up she explained to me the procedure and all this other stuff that she would teach me when I finally get around to it. She also said that she thought I scared Ryan a bit when we were out the front because he was very nervous and felt a little light headed afterwards. I laughed and told her the story of how he threw up after getting his tongue done. She laughed and said some people have that sort of reaction because of the adrenaline pumping through them.
"Ok, time to go." Dee said, and I dropped my pants and laid down on the table.
I thought it would bother me a bit more to take my pants off in front of someone I've only met once, and a woman no less, but it really didn't.
She spoke to me throughout the whole thing explaining that it's good to touch the client as little as possible when doing genital piercings, but sometimes its unavoidable. She then asked me to hold my penis down flat while she marked the position on me.
Then came the clamps, she said this was the part Ryan hated the most – he was right, the pinching feel of the clamps on that part of your body is really uncomfortable.
Dee asked me to take a deep breath, then OUCH! The needle was through.
It's hard to describe the pain, it was about as intense as getting my nipples done, though the pain went away instantly and didn't last as long as on my nipples.
She put the barbell through and screwed on the ball no problems, then it was all done.
I had a look and I absolutely loved it, it looks like it's pierced a little to the left, but it could just be the swelling, I'll ask Dee when I see her next week.
She explained aftercare and all that to me, then we went back out the front and I paid for us, I paid for Ryan's too because I owed him a bit of money. She was so cool she gave us a discount and said if there were any problems just give here a call, or drop in and see her.
That was Friday, my girlfriend came over that night and was really pissed off when I showed her, not because I had it done – she thinks all my piercings are cool and wanted me to get a genital piercing too, but because I got it without her being there and the fact we cant have sex for two to four weeks.
It bled a little that night, but its Monday now and it hasn't since. No pain whatsoever either, though it's still tender to the touch.
Can't wait to finally try it out, my balls are already half swollen, the next two weeks are gonna be torture. Oh well, hope its all worth it.
