I first got interested in getting a piercing while searching the web for ideals for a new tattoo. I checked out several sites and thought I would take a look at some piercings people have had done also. I have always heard about the PA as the main male genital piercing but did not discover the Frenum until this time, and I was instantly interested after reading several experiences and looking through the photos. I always wanted a piercing but my job working in a Police station makes it hard to have one exposed to the public viewing, a Frenum was perfect only people know that I want to know and it has it's added benefits...... After doing some research on the web (healing, care for, etc..)and talking to several people that have gotten a Frenum I decided I most definitely want one.

I called him up on the morning of Sat 2/21/04 to see if I could get in that day, the guy that answered said to call back after noon when he gets in. I called back about 2 and he said he had the barbells in and to come on up, about a 20-25 min drive from Independence. I was not nervous at first but as I got closer it did start to set in. When I got there I was surprised at how busy the were for a Sat afternoon about 4pm, but everyone was getting Tats. I let them know what I wanted and they had me show the I.D. and fill out the paper work. Chris came out and let me know he was autoclaving everything and when it was done he would come and get me.
The autoclaving was complete and Chris came out and took me to the piercing room had me set on the "table" and introduced himself and made some small talk to make me more comfortable feeling, he also let me know that everyone at this point is pretty nervous. He then went over the care for the piercing (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 8 oz of warm water twice a day for 10 min each then how to clean with Dial Antibacterial soap) and asked if I had any questions and answered them (different jewelery, sex etc...). I was then asked to lay on the table and pull my pants down half way so he could clean the area. After cleaning the area he started measuring and marking the entry and exit spots, this took a little time due to some veins that were in the way that he had to work around (He took great care in measuring so everything lined up straight when done). He then prepared to clamp the area and stated that many people think this is the worst part, and looking back have to agree but wa s only a slight pinch. He then asked me to take a deep breath and he would push the needle through, I was amazed, no pain at all just the feeling of the pressure from the needle pushing on the skin and that was it. He asked to hold still while he put the barbell (12g 5/8") through, this did sting for maybe a split second but nothing to worry about. After he finished he asked if I had any more question and told me he would meet me at the counter after cleaning up the room. At the counter he gave me a pamphlet with all the care instructions and a Q&A section, then I paid for the piercing and tiped Chris for his services.
If you are thinking about getting a Frenum do it!! You won't regret it at all. I love it, the look and the feeling of wearing it is "exciting" in more ways then one already and I haven't even got to put it to the true test yet. The pain is very light the next day it was tender but not unbearable it did bleed a little the first hour or so but nothing major. After a couple of days the area felt as good as pre piercing. I am now addicted and would like to get a nipple piercing but don't like the ideal of it staying hard permanently afterwards.
If your in the Kansas City area go to Chris at A-1 very easy to talk to and takes great pride in his work. He also said he has been doing piercings for around 15 years so he has plenty of experience. Many piercers in the area recommend Chris for any genital piercings due to his experience.
