My parents are pretty conservative, so getting them to approve a visible piercing would be impossible. I had called a local tattoo/piercing shop in Studio City, CA, and found out that they would not pierce me without my parents' authorization, or until I turned 18 when I could make my own decision. So, when I turned 18 last month, the first thing that was on my mine was to get a piercing.

I wanted to get a genital piercing because I did not want to offend my parents and also I wanted it for my girl friend and no one else to see. I thought about having a PA because I thought the piercing would make a bold statement. But, I'm not the kind of guy who wants to have something like that to stand out. And, since I am involved with competitive swimming and water polo water the PA jewelry would be too noticeable under my Speedos. And, community showering would also bring some embarrassing attention to the other guys, which I did not want.
I finally decided on a frenum because it was less intrusive than a PA, and because of having a receiving tube pierced through my urethra sounds pretty painful, and I did not want to adjust to a different style of peeing. I felt that the frenum jewelry on the underside of my penis would be less noticeable. I figured if I didn't like the piercing I could remove it and it would not leave a noticeable scar. Last Friday, I finally had the nerve to go for it. I called the piercer again and told him if it was OK to bring my girl friend along to give me encouragement, but he didn't recommend it. I didn't want it to make a fanfare about it, but at the end I did invite my best friend along to watch.
I found the shop to be very clean with vinyl floor, autoclaves and clean stainless steel equipment on the counter top along the wall. The first thing the piercer did was to show me the style of jewelry. After we discussed what I wanted the piercer in latex glove hand showed me a simple 14 ga stainless steel bead ball and socket ring, ½ inch in diameter. I signed a release form and paid him $80 dollars, ($40 for the jewelry and $40 for his service), my friend and I went to the piercing room with him. The thought of letting the piercer sees my penis would be totally embarrass, but my friend has seen me nude before, and my doctor has checked my balls and penis during a physical examination before so when it was time for him to ask me to drop my pants and my shorts I would just tell myself it's no big deal. He asked me to lay on the soft vinyl chair that resembles a dentist chair with the comfortable contours. By now, my penis was in the shrunken state of shock from the cold. He gloved his hands with some bluish latex gloves, and with my legs slightly spread he cleaned my penis with some antibiotic solution on gauze. By now, my penis was so small that you would need a magnifying glass to see. Of course, my friend seeing this smirked a little. The piercer then placed a paper bib with a cut hole over my penis. We agreed before hand that he would mark the location of the piercing while my penis is in the erect state because I wanted to make sure that the jewelry would not pinch my skin when I have erections during the middle of the night. It was a little difficult getting an erection with a couple of guys looking at you. But I finally did after stroking myself a few times.
The piercer then marked the in and out locations and the depth where I wanted the piercing to go with some purple ink. He then used a foerster (clamp) to hold the location in place. I took three breaths and let out the last one while he quickly took the piercing needle and pierced my frenulum area about 3/8 inch behind the glans. The beaded ring was quickly inserted and bent back and the steel ball put in place with a pair of ring pliers. I have to admit that I was nervous for nothing. The piercing felt like a pinch and the sharp pain was over in a matter of seconds. There was no blood to see. I highly recommend to those who wants a genital piercing to consider the frenum if you are not into a PA. I am circumcised so the jewelry is always exposed, which I like. I love my frenum piercing, and I convinced my best friend to get one too. It's been two days now, and the only thing I have is a numbing pain, which will go away shortly. I can't wait for it to heal, and rekindle my s exual pleasures with my girl friend and find a new way to masturbate. I will post a picture in the tribalectic website soon. All I can say is for those who is considering a frenum piercing to go for it.
