My frenum piercing was the second easiest piercing experience I've had, second to my tongue. Here's how it all happened:

The ones I had already were no problem to take out during my shift, but this prevented me from really doing anything more to my face for the time being. But I really wanted another piercing so I started thinking about what was out of sight that I hadn't touched yet. My two options came down to my other nipple, or a penis piercing. I opted for the penis piercing for several reasons, the main two of those being 1)genital piercings are still one of the relatively untouched areas. A lot of other piercings have become more mainstream and that's one of the few you can still do that not a lot of other people can say they've got, and 2)I was curious as to whether or not it would make sexual experiences somewhat more interesting. And of all the penis piercings I could have chosen, frenum just seemed like the best one for me. It looked like the most attractive and the least painful... Things like Prince Alberts seem painful and as if they might mess up things like urinating and ejaculating. I can't say that for SURE... that's just what it seems might happen. Also I someday plan to add to it and have a Jacobs Ladder type thing going on.
So... I nabbed my best friend Sara and off we went to Avant-Garde. The making of an appointment was not necissary. I just walked in, said what I wanted, paid the $35, and waited. I'm a lame dork and called my girlfriend to make sure it was okay with her that Sara came back to watch, as she herself couldn't be there. She, of course, laughed at me for being a lame dork and said it was fine. She laughed at me some more, then I went back to waiting. I was a bit nervous while I waited, as some of the stories I read about it on the internet were kind of terrifying... I read things that spoke of much bleeding and other unappealing things. Of course, most of the stories I read were fine. It's just those 2 or 3 bad ones that always stick with you 15 minutes before the needle is being pushed through you. But Sara rocks and is great for moral support so of course she came back when they finally called that they were ready for me.
Jim and Brent were there. They're both super nice and really good at taking your mind off of your nervousness. I think Jim was showing Brent how to check and make sure they weren't going to be hitting anything vital in that area. I pulled my pants down and hopped up on the benchish/chairish/beddish thing and lied down while they proceeded with the inspection. They placed the markings on, I gave them the okay, and I lied back down. The clamp went on and they gave me the old "Take a deep breath in, now take a deep breath out. Deep breath in, and deep breath (needle inserted here) out." And it was over in less then a second. The pain was nearly non-existant. I swear to you it hurt less then having your ears pierced with one of those dreadful piercing guns. The only piercing I've gotten that hurt even less was my tongue, of which I didn't feel a thing at all.
They put a gauze over it, then put a condom over that, as they warned me that it might bleed once I stand up and gravity takes control. They said I could take the condom off in an hour or two. I was really worried that there was going to be some horrific amount of blood... but when I took it off an hour or two later, there was only the tiniest drop of blood. That made me happy. After a day or two, 'self stimulation' was once again easily possible, and the daily aftercare during the weeks to come was like nothing. There wasn't really any pain, and a very minimal amount of crusting. Twice a day with anti-bacterial soap was all I needed and I had absolutely no problems with the healing. And after a few weeks.... I discovered that the addition of the piercing increased my sexual pleasure as well as my girlfriend's. There was really nothing bad at all to say about this experience... it was good for all those concerned. And for anyone relatively close to the milwaukee area, I high ly reccommend Avant-Garde on 72nd and Greenfield Ave in West Allis. Brent and Jim are both great people and are the only people I go to when I require more metal.
