Well I had a couple big holes down there before today, including a 6ga reverse PA (pierced at a 6ga), a 4ga lorum (pierced at 12 ga, stretched, shrunk and stretched back up countless times), and a 6g dolphin (front hole pierced at 14ga years ago stretched to 6ga, back hole pierced at 8ga and stretched to a 6ga). I have also had 6 dydoes all retired, so here I am thinking well why not see what a scalpel feels like instead of needles of varying size, and while I'm at it double my jewelry.

I decided on a second lorum and a pair of halfadas.

To start the locations were checked, marked and cleaned using iodine. I double checked everything was exactly the way I wanted it. I was slightly nervous and kind of staling but I knew it would feel the same if I waited or went for it.

A pair of forester forceps was used to hold the skin of my lower shaft the marks lined up. Then I took a deep breath in and breathed out very slowly as the scalpel was pushed through. As the hole was quickly made I could see the hole open around the blade almost effortlessly. As the blade was removed the hole welled slightly with blood and the taper was put through. IT was a 4ga, a bit intimidating for a start. After the taper was pushed up to almost the end the forceps were removed being careful not to let the weight of the taper hang. This big long thick taper being gently held at the base of my penis looked amazing! the jewelry was easily inserted and there was absolutely no bleeding.

As for the halfadas. The procedure was the same a pair of forester forceps, a deep breath, a smooth hole made as my sac flesh parts over the beautiful blade of a number 11 scalpel blade, a slightly smaller taper and a very nice piece of steel, and then again. Although the left was slightly less painful then the right the was no blood at all. as for the right I think the hole was just a fraction of a mm too big so there was a small amount of bleeding that stopped very quickly. In total time from the marking and cleaning to me having three new large rings in me was about 12-15 minutes. He was so gentle I didn't need a break in between more then the time he needed to put the beads on.

The look of them is amazing! they are all CBRs, the lorum is a 16mm diameter 4ga ring and the halfadas are 6ga rings with a 8mm diameter. I could not have asked for a better or more rewarding experience, well maybe at least until I sit for the 1/2 trans-scrotal I have been itching for. Over all the artist was ecessively clean he opened everything in front of me and disposed of the scalpel blade in front of me as well as put the tools directly into a chemical soak for the first pre-sterilization step.

The after-care advice I was given was as follows: at least 2 saline soaks a day for a min of ten minutes. When in the shower to wash gently with a mild unscented soap avoiding rotating the rings. He told me that working the rings around in the hole would tear the new skin forming and introduce other stuff into the wound. I was also told that it would feel tight for a day to a week depending on how my skin adapted to the weight and after that the rings would slowly start to move on their own at that point I could move them while cleaning. This seamed a very nice change because I have always thought of when I got stitches if It was a problem to have the skin stick to things then would I have been told to rotate my stitches instead I was told to keep them clean and leave them alone and they always came out easy as pie.

In conclusion I would very much recommend (after having tried and experimented with tons of different sizes) to start big! The bigger the better, The rings always shine more and just feel so much better. As for the pain of it, I found that a scalpel followed by a taper (well at least done right by a gentle artist) was not even as bad as a 12 ga needle. That said I understand everyone deals with everything differently. DAN at abstract is a great piercer I wouldn't trust anyone else to do hardly any of the things I have let that guy do to me. He is always willing to answer questions and I haven't stumped him yet (I have tried). As of the writing of this experience he is at Abstract on Queen street in toronto, I would recommend going and meeting him the worst thing that can happen is you end up with a wicked new piercing somewhere.
