I have many different tips and tricks about the frenum piercing that I would like to share with all of you. I just recently decided to get my frenum pierced. I have previously had my nipples, tongue, and conch already done. These are moderately painful piercings , except for the tongue of course. I figured the frenum was a small order compared to my previous experiences.

This was immediately diminished when I got in the room. My piercer was very professional about it, and made it as comfortable as it could be. It is very important that you are completely comfortable with your piercer. This made the experience much more pleasant, or as pleasant as it could be. On to the actual procedure. I decided to get two done at once. I got both of them very close to the head. I decided to pierce them at 10 gauge barbells because I was told that the larger the gauge, the less the pinch. So, he measured me up, and marked me. Also, the marking does not have to be done while your erect. He marked me while I was flaccid. This makes the experience a lot less uncomfortable. He used forceps to clamp the area. This was not uncomfortable at all. He got the needle and cork at hand, one breath in, one huge breath out, and the needle was through instantly. The pain only laste d for about 3 solid seconds. After these 3 seconds the pain was completely gone. However, those 3 seconds was a pretty extreme pain. The pain is very similar to getting your nipples done. It was a very sharp pain, assisted by some burning. It was tolerable, but it wasn't a walk in the park like many people say. Remember , that I also was pierced twice, with ten gauge barbells. Once those three seconds were up, the pain immediately and completely subsided.
I recommend getting more than one at the same time so you don't have to wait another four weeks to have sex, or whatever your preference is. You also clean them at the same time , so it reduces having to take care of another piercing for 3 months. I really like the fact of multiple frenum piercings (jacob's ladder). I think they look a lot better. After getting my first two, I am already looking forward to adding several more.
Now for the good part of this story. My (learned from others) cleaning tricks and other odds and ends. First of all, I clean it once a day with Provon antibacterial soap. I also do sea salt soak once a day for 15 minutes. Wipe off the "crusties" before you clean it with a wet q-tip. When you urinate, you should hold some paper towels underneath your head of your penis. If your urine gets inside the piercing it burns really bad. I don't think it is very harmful to the piercing, just very uncomfortable. Erections. Erections during healing time can be very uncomfortable. If you get an erection, insert your penis into a glass of cold water, and you become flaccid very quickly.
After the procedure was over, the piercing was very comfortable. It honestly felt like normal. There was the occasional pinch, but it honestly was almost unnoticeable as far as daily activities and routine. I personally where boxers, but I heard that some people are more comfortable in briefs. This all seems to be a personal preference. Either way, you will be quite surprised on how it feels afterwards.
The healing times I was told are as followed, however, different people say different things, so these are just suggestions. You shouldn't have sex until the piercing feels and looks healed. This time range is around 4-6 weeks. You have to have protected sex up until 2 months after the initial piercing. If you do have sex, you must use non-lubricated, and non-spermicidal condoms. The total healing time for a frenum piercing is usually 2-3 months.
For you guys who have to masturbate daily, this piercing may not be for you. The piercing itself is unnoticeable, however it is still tender for awhile. As far as sexual pleasure goes, it depends where on the shaft you get the piercing. I have been told that the closer to the head you get it, the more options you have.
