Well, I finally did it. I got my frenum pierced. It was something that I had been thinking about for a few years now, well, this morning I told myself that it's now or never!

When I walked in the front door, you would have thought that it was twenty below zero, my best friend since the age of 13 shriveled in anticipation of the pain. I spoke to the young man at the counter, explained my situation, and he asked if I had any questions for him. Well after I asked almost every question I could think of , having Byrd ease my fears of infection and pain involved, I said, lets do this.
To say that I was very uncomfortable dropping my pants and placing my very manhood in the hands of someone with the intent of having a very shap object jabbed thru would be an understatement! Byrd told me his own experience with having a genital piercing while getting his supplies together. Since I had already picked the stud that I wanted, all that was left was the deed itself. Byrd explained exactly what he was doing and what I would feel. In just a minute, it was all over! One hell of a pinch, that was it? I could'nt believe that was all there was to it. I was expecting a blinding pain, like no pain I have ever had before. There was no blood, just that quick uncomfortable pinch from hell,and that was it! After the care was explained , I left, feeling better knowing that I faced a big fear and came out on top, well, with a crown on top anyway!
On the way home I felt a little strange having a wad of gauze wrapped around ole'Henry , but , If it were to bleed, I was glad to have it in place. I walked into the house , went straight to the bathroom and dropped my pants to admire the great workmanship that I had recieved. After removing the gauze, and taking that long awaited vein drain that I was dreading ( Hey, I had never been pierced, I did'nt know what to expect!! ) , I sized up the job. It looked really good, still no pain to speak of. Ok, I admit that it was a bit uncomfortable sittin in the car on the way home, but, after the gauze was taken off, all was better!.
Let me give a few words of advise if your thinking about this type of piercing....
1. Dont wear tight undies or pants to the studio.
2. Dont worry about what the piercer is thinking, he/she is a profesional, If your in question, ask to see their certification, or ask about their training.
3. Think your decision thru, dont do it on spur of the moment. Lets face it, you will be going without sex for about two months!
4. Talk to your artist, If they are reputable, they will treat you with respect, and will be able to answer any questions that you will have. I recomend this type of piercing to anyone interested in a genital piercing. It's not as bad as what you would think.
I have had friend who have had really awful experiences with fly-by-night body art shops. Take the time to really look into the type of work that you want to have done. Talk to friends that have had a similer type of procedure. If you cant find someone that you know, talk to someone on the internet. You can find a Piercing and Tattoo chat in all of the ISP listings that I know of. I have found that the best way to locate a good artist is to ask around. Useally the best have a great reputation, and many returning clients. If you go to an artist and are scared, and they try to rush you, or are rude to you, hit the door. They should act like they have known you for years, afterall, you have to be able to trust the on you have!
I am now thinking of getting another piercing. The only things that I have had done are my ears ( woo hoo! thats a biggie!!!) and I did have my tongue done by a so called professional. That one did'nt work out so well, but thats another story all together!!! When I decide to have another piercing done , you can guarantee that I will return to BlueByrd Tattoo.
