I had always thought piercings were pretty cool, but never really had gotten into them. I had gotten my tongue pierced a year earlier, and was starting to get itchy for another piercing.
At A Glance Author canadiancelt Contact canadiancelt@hotmail.com When Six months ago Artist Sean Studio Artistic Impressions Location Niagara Falls, Canada In mid-September I decided that I wanted to get a genital piercing, but didn't know which I should get, until a friend of mine who used to come into my work all the time, showed me he had his frenum pierced, and I thought it looked good, and would be a great piercing to have.
So in September after I had gotten paid, on a spur of the moment, I decided it was time for a brand new piercing.
I went up to Artistic Impressions in Niagara Falls feeling a bit nervous, since it is such a sensitive part of the male body.
I walked into the studio, and there was the usual crowd of pierced and tattooed people you often see hanging out outside the shop, and it was a bit intimidating since they were pierced veterans, and I had only had my tongue done before.
I walked up to the counter and said very bluntly, "I want my penis pierced."
The piercer, Sean, asked me what I was thinking about getting, so I answered that I wanted my shaft done, since I didn't know it was actually called a frenum at that time. He corrected me, and told me it was called a frenum piercing, said he would do it, and then made me fill out the normal release forms.
He took me into the back, to his little room, which was a very comfortable little space. It was very clean and sanitary which made me feel a little less nervous. He informed about what he was going to do, how he was going to do it, and asked me to unzip my pant and whip it on out. He showed me the proper way to hold my penis so I could have it pierced, so I did that, and that's when he pulled out his trusty clamp. That's when I started getting a bit nervous. I was told not to worry about the clamp, and that it wouldn't hurt too much, and he was right. After the clamp was in place, he took out a fresh needle and prepared me to be pierced. He told me to count to three, and then breathe out, and that was when he pushed the needle through.
I felt no pain, except for a slight pinch, which was very relieving. He placed a 14g CBR into the fresh piercing, and cleaned me up. It was all done.
He then of course, walked me through the aftercare procedure, told me I couldn't have sex for three months, and explained how to keep it clean, and all about soaking it in sea salted water, washing with antibacterial soap, and all the other obvious cleaning procedures.
I was given papers with information on how to care for my new piercing, which I was thankful for since the words he had previously said were all lost on me from the adrenaline and excitement. He then broke the needle he used to pierce me, and showed me when he did it, and then we walked out to the front so I could pay.
Fifty dollars later, I was a new man.
I left the shop, bought some alcohol, and had a penis piercing celebration with all of my friends. He needed a little party of his own. He had been through a lot that day.
None of my friends would believe I had actually gone and done it, until I whipped it out and showed them. I had never had so many people stare at my penis before, but it was quite liberating.
Although my boyfriend at the time found it a little weird, I can also say that the sex has been quite enjoyable with this piercing, and I'm quite happy I had it done.
Six months later, I still have it, and it hasn't bothered me one bit. I'm currently thinking about getting another genital piercing to compliment my frenum. Perhaps a PA. Or maybe stretch the gauge of my piercing.
I would definately say that if you are thinking about a genital piercing, go for your frenum first. It wasn't painful, and has eased me into the process of getting more genital piercings.
I have decided to share this story in hopes that the myth about genital piercings, and the pain endured in not completely true. I lived through this, and I survived.
No one ever believes me when I tell them how easy it was, and how painful it wasn't, but I'm completely telling the truth when I say that. I would do it again in a second.
The End.
