Now usually when you hear somebody talking about what their mom thinks you assume they might be in their teens ..... Not so as I am now 31. I am "Joe Conservative" to those I work with, my family, and those who casually know me. But those who get to know me a little better soon find out about my alternative thinking. Finally about 2 years ago I met someone who shared the same interests in piercing ands tattoos and introduced me to the BME site. I had my ears pierced as a teenager but I didn't want anything that visible this time around so hey! why not get my penis pierced.
At A Glance Author Brad Contact Brad@bme.anon When A year ago Artist Gary Studio Way Cool Uptown Location Toronto Whoa!! Where did that come from! Yes my first real piercing was going to be through my penis. The first one I thought about was a Prince Albert but for various reasons I moved onto the Fermium piercing instead. I read through most of the experiences and made my decision that the Frenum was the one. Now the reasons that made me decide on the Frenum. The increased sensitivity (true), the added stimulation to my partner (some liking it more than others), good looks, and I could still pee standing up. Before I go any further, my Frenum piercing experience has a bad and a good side to it. In fact my first Frenum was bad and my second was good.
Now I don't want to get into too much detail as to why my first piercing was so bad but if you find a studio like the one I am about to tell you about in my good experience it is next to impossible to have a bad experience. At the time I lived in Northern Ontario so I turned to BME to find a studio in Toronto. I checked out web-page after web-page and found WayCool Uptown. I was going to be in T.O. on business and decided to e-mail the shop for some info. I had already removed my first Frenum and gave it time to heal so I was ready for the right one. I explained what happened with my first experience in my e-mail and received a prompt reply and thorough informative one at that.
A couple weeks later I was in Toronto and decided to run by the studio after work. I walked in and introduced myself and Glen, an employee, remembered the e-mail I had sent. One of my problems was jewelry selection the first time around, so after a discussion, Glen suggested I go with a 12g barbell (length ?) but ...... they didn't have it in stock. A few phone calls and Glen found it at another shop. There was no way I could find this other place so he offered to pick it up for me! I was only in town for a week with a tight work schedule so I made the appointment for my last day, which was a Saturday night.
I drove back to the studio appointment day right after work and Glen showed me my new jewelry and I filled out the standard paperwork and read over the aftercare instructions. This is when I met Gary the piercer. I wasn't that nervous and we went down to the piercing room. Now of course this was a sterile environment and Gary made sure I knew it too. My biggest concern was a good piercing. Gary asked if an apprentice could observe and I had no problem with that. Not only did he explain everything he was doing to me and answer my questions it was interesting hearing the explanations he had for the apprentice. Special care was taken for proper positioning, which was not the case of my first one. Gary made sure that the final piercing would be straight and symmetrical. The actual piercing was close to painless. The clamp caused the only discomfort. The best way I could describe the needle would be to compare it to the needle they use when giving blood. I knew it was n't going to hurt that much but I still said, "Is that it?"
I felt so comfortable after having my Frenum done I stuck around and added a nipple to my visit but that's another story. My piercing is everything I wanted and expected it to be. There is one thing I haven't heard anyone mention though. Whenever there is loud music at a club or concert I have the pleasure of feeling the bass in a way that always puts a smile on my face. I plan on having it stretched into a larger gauge next so I am curious if it will be even more sensitive to the bass? If I can offer any advice to you about your future piercing definitely find a good studio because it makes the difference between a bad and good experience. For my mothers health I won't tell her about the metal below the belt. I actually heard her swear for the first time in 31 years after she saw my nipples!
