Ok, I'm not a very good writer, and I'm not that good at English grammar, but I'll try the best I can....

I've had 5 piercings or something, all of them which I have done in a professional piercing studio. Self-done piercings freak me out, the pain together with the whole thought of keeping your head cool and perform the actual piercing, seems hard to me. But I've "always" wanted a genital piercing, and although "piercers are professional, and I've got nothing they've never seen before", the though of dropping my pants and having a stranger do all kinds of crazy shit with my best friend, not to mention the shrinkage and all, doesn't appeal to me.
I have had the hots for a RPA for a long time, together with a frenum and a pubic. There is no way in hell that I would even consider doing a reverse PA on myself, the thought of having a piercer do it is frightening enough, but a frenum on the other hand, I figured is no problem. I also love that I can chicken out, and still have my honour intact. I can do it when I feel like it, and there is absolutely no stress whatsoever.
I can't remember how I got the idea of performing the piercing on myself, but I reckon it has something to do with BME and the experience section. Every single experience I read said that a frenum was no pain, healed easy and was uncomplicated altogether. I figured that if these guys could do it, so can I! I decided to go for it, but I wasn't going to tell anyone about it, in case I didn't want to go trough with it anyway.
I didn't want this to be a spur-of-the-moment thing, so I used a couple of days to plan the thing, and finding the "right" equipment. I had a couple of needles (including some 100% sterile shot- needles), both thick and thin, I found some latex gloves in my mum's medicine closet, some wine-corks, and a barbell which I had used for my tongue piercing previously.
I boiled it all a couple of minutes to at least get rid of the bacteria's (not a safe way to sterilize!) and got to work. My mum and dad were sleeping in the other room, and I was kind of nervous, so I decided to do the piercing in the bathroom. I locked the door, and put on the shower to make sure they wouldn't bother me or get suspicious about what I was doing. I thought it was going to be a painful experience, or at least a bit painful (I was sooo wrong), so I put on soulfly's "jumpdafuckup" with Corey from slipknot as vocal (that song get's to me like nothing else) on my minidisc, had a cigarette and just relaxed for a couple of minutes.
I then did some "reading" in an adult magazine, and got an erection. This I never thought was possible, considering that I was so nervous I almost shit my pants, but the little soldier saluted at command. I put on the latex gloves, and put just a tiny wimpy little pen- mark where I was going to pierce. The moment was here... soulfly was playing as good as always, and Corey was singing "are you gonna give up like a bitch...?" when I tried to pierce. 'Tried' is the keyword, cause the damn needle wouldn't get in! The skin was just too elastic. Not a problem, I'll just put a cork on the other side, giving it some resistance... I pushed, a nasty sound came (a freaky sound I'll tell you), and the PAIN...was never really any bad...I mean not at all. I almost got a bit disappointed, all this fuzz for so little? It's ten times more pain to get a paper-cut! Seriously! The only thing a bit gross was the sound when the needle penetrated the skin. Luckily I knew about this sound after re ading all those experiences, if I didn't I'd probably get scared to death.
Oh well, the needle was through and I was feeling a bit proud of myself. When it was time to get the barbell through, one little problem: There wasn't any hole... I could see a microscopic drop of blood, but not the hole. Not a problem, I'll do it again. This time with a thicker needle. As easy as said, and this time I found the hole. But the jewellery wouldn't get through. I tried a dozen times and it was impossible. Finally I had to use the needle and just pull gently for a couple of minutes, and then I could finally insert the barbell. The placement was perfect, or so I thought...
Aftercare isn't really worth mentioning, it was never swollen, it never bled, there was never any pain during erection, just pleasure :). I just rinsed it with Provon (I had some left after my previous piercing) twice a day, just in case, but there was never any crusts or anything.
For those of you who want to take this piercing yourself: Don't! My placement was not at all perfect as I thought; on the contrary it was way off. When I went to buy a shorter barbell for it, I started talking to a piercer, and I told her about it (THAT was embarrassing! I've never felt so ignorant and stupid before in my life, she was like "you did WHAT? Leave that to the pro's, stupid!"), and she said that if the placement was wrong, the hole would just get bigger and bigger, and that one finally might be forced to cut the frenum! Ouch. I didn't take it out, but kept the warning in the back of my head, and just paid attention to the hole, and just as she said: within the fourth week, it was so big that I decided to retire the thing.
