Well the time had come that I bit the bullet and got my genitals pierced. I've wanted this done for years but was always to scared or uncertain out of ignorance and would always end up taking myself out of it. Finally finding BME and other people on the net, I was able to find out all the information I needed. After reading several other stories and looking through the pictures I decided on a frenum due to its simplicity and visual appeal. Ready to go once again, I made the appointment and from that point on I was nothing but hyped. I told some friends and they decided to come along for the ride (just because they couldn't believe that I was actually going to do this).

We arrive at The Piercing Shop to be greeted with interesting news; the appointment time was miscalculated thus causing the usual person responsible for genital piercings unavailable. The girl at the counter offered me the choice of coming back later in the day to have it done (which under circumstances would have been a very large inconvenience). The other was to allow the apprentice with only a few genital piercings under her belt to perform it free of charge, save that of the jewelry expense. I thought "What the hell, I'm daring" and decided to let her do it, much to the shock of my friends.

So into the room I went. I'm a pretty open-minded person about nudity and what not so stripping off in front of a complete stranger didn't bother me at all. I wasn't too nervous either, not even now that I knew the piercer was still apprenticing, I was just too hyped for it. So I lied down and chatted while she prepared the tools and then was briefly talked through the process while she gave the area a general cleaning. She asked if I had applied some surface anaesthetic prior to the appointment as recommended and I replied that I had so we continued on. It took her two goes to do the mark out, which I must confess under the circumstances caused my faith to drop just a little. Then another assistant was called upon to help line the clamps up and we were ready to go, she told me to breathe in and in less than a instant the needle was through, another breath and through went the barbell. "And it's done" she said, I couldn't believe it, it just didn't hurt, I felt it, but damn if I'd call that pain. I followed up with "that's it? That so didn't hurt I'm disappointed" she giggled and told me that was mainly due to the surface anesthetic applied earlier. She continued to give it another clean then applied the gauze dressing and a condom while reminding of the general aftercare procedures. I got up, redress and had a glass of water before going back into the waiting room. I thanked her and she thanked me for the faith and allowing her some more experience (I'd also like to mention that she might have been the apprentice but she did a perfect job).I walked away a very surprised but extremely happy and satisfied custom.

We decided to go to a local Irish pub and have one or two beers while I told my friends the story I've just told you while realizing the whole time I couldn't even feel my piercing. Upon leaving the pub, I needed a trip to the toilet. It was here that I suffered a pretty bad system shock when seeing the amount of blood that the piercing had produced. I wasn't in any pain but the site of the blood made me rather anxious until I thought about all the stories I'd read, and how this is common in which time I settled down, did my business and decided it would be best to go straight home. I told one of my friends about the situation and she went far out of her way to drive me home (I was originally going to catch public transport). I got home, had a shower and gave my piercing the proper clean up procedure that I had been told to apply. Then decided it would be best if I just spent the rest of the day relaxing in which time I decided to write my own story to support the site and t o help those that are thinking of a frenum piercing. Without similar stories I would have been lost.

To sum it up, I'd like to say that if you are located in Brisbane, Australia or just visiting and want to get pierced I totally recommend the The Piercing Shop. They have great customer service and a very professional, friendly and sterile environment.
