I had been interested in piercing for over a year before I got my first permanent piercing. My girlfriend and me had done some piercing of each others nipples with small needles in the course of love games, but those were only temporary piercings and were very small, usually safety pins (we no longer do this, by the way and I do not recommend it because its not sterile!!)
Anyway, we discussed possible piercings for my pride-and-joy and finally decided on a frenum for the first pierce. I wanted a Prince Albert, but she didn't like the way it went through the end. I actually drove up four times to a local piercing shop, but never actually got up the nerve to get out and go in. I wasn't scared about the piercing as much as I was about having to bear all in front of strangers. I had never liked that since gym class. I guess I can admit that I am very shy.
So about a year went buy before I was actually able to talk my girlfriend into doing it instead. She's lived with me for about four years and we love each other and want to get married, but she wants to graduate medical school first. She is already an RN and is going for her medical practitioner license so I trusted her to do it, she just didn't trust herself. She was scared she would mess up and then I would get mad.
But over time I wore her down and since the frenum is fairly straightforward, and after alot of reading on the Internet, I was finally able to talk her into it. I bought the stuff online - the 10 ga needle, the 14 ga barbell, and the piercing forceps.
The night finally came about 3 months ago and she tied me up and made it part of one of our B&D sessions. I must admit it was one of the most erotic nights of my life! It took her a long time because she was very (very) careful about doing it. She marked it off and pierced it in one good push. I must admit I was more chickenshit than it hurt. It was a little prick and then a little pressure as she feed the full thickness of the needle in. After the first poke, it was done in 5 minutes and I had a 14 ga barbell through my dick! I was on cloud-9. It bleed just a little, less than I thought it would, and I kept really good care of it for about 2 months as it healed (after all it is my "pride-and-joy.") I still don't think I would have ever gotten that first one if I would have had to gone to a piercing shop.
Anyway, I liked it sooo much, and my girlfriend did to the first time we had penetration sex with it, that we decided to get another one, about 1 inch up from the first. She reserved the right to make me take it out if she didn't like the way if felt inside her, but she loved the first one!!! It really doesn't do much for me sensation wise, but I love the look and secrecy of it all. She wanted more and I was ready...But...
It was the second piercing is why I recommend a professional.
We got lucky on the first pierce. I think we just did it all in the right order, not knowing any better. The second one though, after she stuck the needle through and feed the barbell back through the pierced hole (the needle had a hole in it which the barbell goes in and is then fed back through as you pull the needle out), we did all that before pulling off the forceps and then found out the barbell balls would NOT go through the closed loop ends on the forceps! Oh shit! I was scared and pissed all at the same time. We finally were able to cut the forceps off, but it was a very tense few moments. I do not recommend anyone put themselves in this position because stainless steel is one hard mother. I had to cut through the end of the forceps with a hacksaw (slowly) then cut it finally with a pare of cutters. I was bound and determined not to pull the piercing out, as I really wanted it, but probably should have. It all worked out okay, but I could have really hurt m yself. Plus all of the sudden I am using unsterile tools on a fresh wound. This is why I recommend a professional - they know things you might not think of.
Just go to someone you don't know and will never see again and get over it. Don't be stupid like me. Drive to another town or make a weekend of it out of state or something! I want to get my nipples permanently pierced now, and even though they are much less scary than my pride-and-joy, I will go to a piercing shop to get it done. My girlfriend is talking (just talking at this point) about getting a hood piercing. She says she doesn't trust me to do it. I wonder why?
As for me, my first frenum is 3 months old now and healed and I love it! The second frenum is just four days old and doing okay. When it heals I want to get another one, but I am running out of dick. I don't think I would like a frenum ladder, mainly because my girlfriend says NO, but also because I worry if I go to far down that I might get to a part where it comes out of her during intercourse (instead of always staying in like the ones on the end) and tear. I still think I would like a Prince Albert, but I think a diamond ring will have to go to my girlfriend before I get me a stainless steel one.
I will say this, and you can believe it, piercing is addictive. But do it smart. Don't be a dick like me.
