Well, not long after I became a member of BME, I decided that I'd help out a little, and order something from bmeshop. So I ordered some needles, and a pair of forceps.

Not knowing that I was going to do with them once they arrived, I just kind of forgot about the order. Until the day came when they arrived. I opened the package, and I had 4 14ga needles and my Penington (I think, I can't remember exactly) slotted forceps. YAY!
So I got a cork, and a elastic so I wouldn't have to close the forceps until they started clicking, I figured that would be the best way do it cuz I didn't feel like bending them any. And I saw my piercer do it, and it works fine.
I wanted to do one self-piercing. I figured why not at least try it? What harm could be done? (Don't answer that) So I proceeded to choose a location for my new metal. I toyed with the idea of doing my nipple again, which would give me a double nipple ring in whatever side I chose. But I changed my mind quickly, and figured the next logical spot for a piercing was my penis. So then I started playing with the idea of a scrotal ring, frenum or pubic piercing. I was just about do give myself a scrotal piercing, but I wasn't quite sure what laid under the skin, and I didn't want to damage anything. So I chose the frenum. Because I could see where most of the bigger blood vessels were.
So, I cleaned up the area, clamped it down, and got a needle out. This is where I became a chicken shit, and I just sat there with the needle touching the skin.. I couldn't for the life of me push it through. "Ok, I thought, I'll do this slowly, won't hurt as much", as their isn't a lot of skin there. Well, guess what? The moment the needle broke through the skin, I jumped and I dropped it. ARRH one needle wasted.
I opened another needle, and again placed it by the mark I had made with the last one. Again I just sat there wondering what the fuck I was doing, and how much it would hurt. I was like that for about an hour. The phone rang, scared me as I was trying concentrate on what I was doing. I jumped and BOOM the needle got pushed in. So after that shock had passed. I realized that I was silly for waiting such a long time, it didn't hurt all that much. So I managed to get through that part of it.
In my haste to do the piercing, I left out one important thing. Getting the CBR that I had ready. Shit. So I corked the needle. And went around my room to get the ring to put in. I had it autoclaved so all I had to do was put it in. It worked out wonderfully. I was so impressed with myself. It healed really quickly too. I'd have to say in about a week. But it probably took a little longer, because it was still a little tender. But it was a fast.
I didn't wait that long before I started stretching it. My goal was to get to 6ga. I waited about 2 weeks, and I bought a 14ga bar for it. But that in, and went back to get a 12ga bar. Since this was my first attempt at stretching a piercing. I had no idea what I was doing, and I didn't think to ask anyone either L So I did quickly.. OUCH! Won't do that again. So I stopped, and waited a little longer about a month and a half I think it was. It went from there. I didn't have a problem with it again, until this morning. (I was at a 8ga when I woke up this morning).
I decided I'd take some interesting pictures for BME, as I hadn't sent any pictures of it in I don't think. (I couldn't remember) So I started to take some pictures, and then I thought it would be neat to hang some stuff from the bar.. Figuring that it would stretch the piercing a little, and help me get to 6.
Some advice for people who are going to hang stuff from they're piercings. Make sure they aren't acrylic. I had a bit of weight on it. A pocket watch I have, then I added some keys, then a couple of other things, and then it happened, the fucking thing SNAPPED!! Argh, now I've gotta go out and buy something to put in it that won't fall out so it doesn't close. Grrrr.
Anyway, I know this was more then just a piercing experence, but the other info might be of use as well.
Its probably going to be the only self-piercing that I do. Unless I play pierce, but that won't be for a while I think.
