for a few years i have wanted a tongue piercing, and i decided to check out BME to learn some information about what it would be like. out of curiosity, i also looked at some of the genital piercings available. i didn't really want one, i just wanted to see what was available. well, i ended up getting the tongue piercing, but took it out 2 days later (long story). after that i couldn't stop thinking about getting another piercing, especially one that would be invisible. of all the different types, it seemed like the frenum would be the most painless and the easiest.

after reading the success stories of so many people who did it themselves, i decided to pierce my own frenum. i ordered a 12g needle, a 12g 1/2" barbell, and a set of forceps from bmeshop. a week later everything arrived, and i was ready to go to work. the needle was sterilized, but the foreceps and barbell were not, so the first thing i did was soak them in alcohol for a few minutes and then boiled them in water for about 20 minutes. i wiped off my penis with some rubbing alcohol, and then made 2 dots about 1/2" apart where i wanted the piercing to go. i placed the clamp on where i wanted it, but unfortunately this left me with no free hands. with one hand on the clamp, and one hand holding my penis in place (since it's kinda hard to get an erection when you know what is about to happen) i had no way to hold the needle. so i took the clamps off and decided to do it freehand.

the needle seemed to hurt a lot, although i'm not sure if it was real pain or just the thought of a needle going through my penis. i got it into the skin, and it was just starting to poke through the other side when i decided to stop and check if it was straight. it wasn't! it was way off-center, i would have to do it again. also, it started bleeding a lot. not life-threatening or anything, but enough that it made working in the area difficult. so i pulled the needle out, wiped off the blood, and decided to catch my breath while the bleeding stopped.

fifteen minutes later there was no more bleeding, and i decided to try again. this time i took an ice cube and put it on the underside of my penis for a few minutes. after things were sufficiently numb, i grabbed the needle (put some lube on this time) and tried again. it went in fine, but coming out, it got caught on the skin. i tried moving it around, rotating it, and pushing hard, but nothing would make the needle go through. finally after about 5 minutes of very hard solid pressure, the needle pushed through, and i felt a huge wave of relief. this time there wasn't any blood at all. i was hoping to follow the needle straight through with the barbell, but that didn't happen. so i pulled the needle all the way through, then put the barbell through. it went in fine, but coming out i had a bit of trouble finding the hole. however, after a minute of mildly painful searching, it popped through. i screwed on the end, and i was done!

immediately afterward, there was a little bit of pain. i could feel every time my penis would bounce up or down, so i would recommend you wear briefs to keep things tight. there was some bruising around the piercing, but i think that was from the forceps. also, there was a dull ache for a day or two, although not too bad. aftercare was simple, i didn't touch it at all. just a rinse in the shower to get all the crusties off each day, and otherwise i left it alone. just make sure to take extra care when pulling it out and putting it back in your pants. 2 days after the piercing i went to put it back in and the percing caught on the edge of my zipper. ouch!!! it bled a little bit after that, but otherwise it only hurt for a second.

it has been about three weeks now, and it is great! after the first week there wasn't any pain at all. i haven't had sex since i got my piercing, but masturbating is great. it also looks fantastic. a lot of people on here say "i did it myself, but i was stupid, i got lucky, etc." but i disagree. i think as long as you use sterile equipment (and that means more than just holding a safety pin over a lighter) and take good care of your piercing, it isn't that hard to do. if you have any other questions, feel free to email me. happy piercing!
