Now being my 21st birthday and I don't drink I had to do something self-destructive (as a friend told me) and my choice to get a new body modification. So I decided I would go to have two more frenums done (which I had been planning for a while). Hearing this my good buddy Noah (who got a his frenum done the same time I got my first one) decided he would also be getting his re-done this night (because his fell out while he was sleeping).

So with a gang of my friends we got in the car and quickly headed to South Street to make it to Infinite (you've probably heard of it cause it's all over BME and the shop rocks). Now we had to hurry because we did not get together early and it was reaching the time in which they would stop taking new piercings for the evening and I brought my own jewelry that needed to be Autoclaved.

Thankfully we made it just in time and got the jewelry thrown in the Autoclave and we started on the paper work and what not. I was getting two 8-gauge 3/4" barbells done by Luis and Noah was getting one 8-gauge 3/4" barbell done by Jon. Since the jewelry had to go in the Autoclave we had some time to wait. So as we waited inside and outside the shop we shot the shit, I played some space invaders (they have the old school game in the shop) and looked at some of the portfolio pictures (I recognized some people in there it was cool) and then it was finally my turn for da needle(s).

Being my third time in the chair (which are really comfortable) I was ready for what was too come and what not. It was nice; Luis's room is decorated with some newspaper articles on body modification, sticker pictures, and sci-fi toys. Now Luis remembered me from the last time I was in when I got my first frenum done. He asked me if I was on IAM and that just led to a conversation about stupid shit like computers and what not and how mine sux at times and about DOS and how AOL sux. Now sitting there talking to him was really comfortable (more comfortable then I've ever felt in any doctors office). While we talked he marked the piercings, I chose to get one above my previous and one below, and in midst of conversation he pierced me. It didn't hurt that bad and I must say again that people; it really doesn't hurt as bad as you think it might. So the first one was done and the conversation continued till he was ready for the second. It was quick and really not that painful. The only difference from my first frenum piercing was that the lower one decided to be a bit of a bleeder. Now the blood did not bother me because I knew it wouldn't be that bad, the only thing that I was worried about was if some of the blood would stain my pants and I'd have to walk around Philly with blood on my crotch. Lucky for me Luis was good enough to get me some gauze and hang out and control the little amount of blood. I told him I was a little worried about some crimson making an appearance on my pants that he made a nice little wrap job out of gauze, a plastic glove and a rubber band (I think that was the funniest my penis has ever looked) so with that I re-entered the world a changed man again.

When I finally got out of the room my friend Katy came up to see how I was doing because I was in there a while (Noah had already been in and out of his piercing). She then commented on the bulge in my pants and was kind of confused. I had to tell her about the gauze and rubber glove wrapped around my penis and all she could do was laugh and ask if she could see. Now when I did get out there was a gaggle of prostitots out getting ready to get their navels done and laughing and pointing at some of the pictures in the portfolios (ex. the genitalia piercings). Now since Infinite is located right off of South Street in Philadelphia they must get a lot of people who act like this and then the girl behind the counter shut them up by telling them, "to please respect those people and not say ewww that's gross." And they quieted down. It was smooth.

Now anyone in the Philadelphia area who is looking to get pierced I highly recommend Infinite. The staff is nice, the store is cool (I mean come on it has Space Invaders) and the piercers are professional and friendly.
