I have had my frenum pierced on three separate occasions. I currently still have two of those piercings in place. My first was performed ~9 months ago. At that time I had decided to get my frenum pierced based on reading other's experiences and viewing photos from BME and additional piercing sites. I am a small business owner of a real estate related firm. Other body piercings would have been impractical in my line of work due to their visibility and limited "mainstream appeal". The frenum appeared to be the most rewarding/less risky of most male genital piercings.

I have no complaints about my first piercing experience other than a lack of point of reference. My first piercing was performed at Greenlake Tattoo. I arrived for my appointment exactly on time. I was very nervous. What person in their right mind would let a complete stranger place a needle through thier genitals and then attach a metal reminder? The rush from the first piercing was intense. I babbled some stupid question while the piercer was placing the jewelry. I completed two work related jobs that afternoon after my initial piercing. Bad idea. Get your cock pierced and then go home. Forget about it. Let the initial rush subsuide and then go about you normal day activities. That night sex my wife and I decided to "test ride" the new piercings. This was the very reason I had wanted to become pierced. Most excellent experience. -An extra sensory relation to the act of sex. After the first piercing I followed the piercer's instructions and used a condom for the first 6 weeks. Typical bactine soap instructions were also followed. No complications or problems. The piercing did hurt at times though (explained later). I decided that if one piercing was great another couldn't hurt.

My second frenum piercing was done by Rion at Slave to the Needle in Seattle, WA, about 6 months ago. He examined my first piercing and indicated it may have been a little shallow. He was correct. The second frenum piercing by Rion was deeper, meaning less tissue was exposed on either side of the barbell. The deeper piercing, believe it or not was less painful than the first. If you've experienced a vasectomy, a frenum piercing is mild in comparison. Only a sharp sensation while the needle enters and exits. Limited discomfort during the piercer's insertion of jewelry. After my second piercing I noticed it only produced only good sensations during sex versus the first piercing which at times caused sharp pain. The more shallow piercing allowed the surrounding skin tissue to pull/twist which resulted in this pain. I don't mind the pain/pleasure principle but pain itself isn't what I had in mind with a self induced piercing. I reluctantly removed my first frenum piercing and let it heal. Healing took about 6 weeks. Rion then re-did this area with a deeper frenum piercing.

I now have two healed frenum piercings which I enjoy very much. They don't seem to do much for my wife though. Lubrication of some kind is a must before sex with a frenum piercing. The vagina does not appear to be designed for erect penis+metal barbell. My wife has had vertical and horizontal hood piercing's with minimal sexual enhancement. I guess I'm lucky because she's "highly orgasmic" without any outside help. Her horizontal piercing didn't do anything at all. Both hood piercing's made it more difficult for her to achieve an orgasm.

I am now entertaining the idea of a "pubic piercing". I can't see this producing any kind of effect for me but maybe my wife can benefit. The piercing location would appear to be correct for my wife during the sexual experience. There are only a limited number of stories regarding this piercing on the net. The anatomical location of a pubic piercing on a male would be correct for a woman during sex but does it really have any results? I am open to ideas/suggestions. Most piercing stories appear to be oriented upon the success of the person pierced. How about the partner of the person pierced? I know there are partners out there who can share their experiences but have not for whatever reason. A genital piercing is for the most part a personal experience unless you are really into the person you are sharing as a life partner.

Additional points to consider before exploring a male piercing:

-No, you won't set off the metal detector at the airport security system.

-Young children will understand the piercing if adequately explained. -"Yes, it hurt." -"No, it's not that wierd." -"Daddy just wanted to get one."

-The guy beside you at the public urinal may get a glimpse of your genital piercing but won't say anything because he knows he doesn't have the balls to endure that kind of apparent pain.

-Any verbal description of yourself can end in: "..and my cock is pierced." This is guaranteed to attract attention/increduality.

Become pierced by someone who has experience. Most of the self piercings experiences I have read appear to be a bad idea. Doctors do not self-read a few surgical manual instructions before performing surgery. Neither do successful piercers.

The instructions set by the piercers are there for a reason. If followed they will eliminate a large myriad of problems.

Tip your piercer well based on the experience. I usually calculate a tip of 25% based on the total bill. You may only tip your waiter at a restaurant 10% of the bill but ask yourself: "Have they stuck a needle through my genitals?"
