O.K. ... it's been about a year since I had my lorum (i.e. lower frenum) pierced, so details on time and place are a bit sketchy. I may not remember the piercer's name, but I do remember the professional and pleasant manner in which he performed his work. I was staying in Chicago on business, and after learning that my gf back home was going out to finally get her labia pierced, I figured it would be a good time to get the lorum I had been thinking about for a few months. It was the first genital piercing for both of us, so I was a little apprehensive, but it was something I had wanted to do for a few months. Assuming it would take at least a week to heal good enough before I could attempt sex, being away from my grrl took care of controlling the temptation and gave me something to remember about my otherwise boring Chicago trip.

I went to the store, which was in a little goth boutique off one of the streets in the Bellmonte area not quite knowing what to expect. The goth style is not really my thing (I'm more of a raver), but the store was clean and sort of hippie in a way, and the jewelry they had there was top notch, so it was no big deal. All of the barbells used internally threaded beads, and the prices were good. I chose a 14g curved barbell and waited a bit for the piercer to prepare his room. After a few minutes of small talk with the grrls watching the front of the store, I headed back to the piercing room. The room was *very* clean, and professionally prepared. I always feel better when the place smells like antiseptic and incense.

As I showed the piercer where I wanted the jewelry placed (at the base of my shaft right where the skin starts to fold out and form my scrotum), I realized how cool it was going to look once I put a ring in, instead of the barbell that he had recommended ("easier healing time", he had said). Well, when everything was marked and prepared, I lay back on the table and took a deep breath. On the exhale, the needle went through and it was all over. The pain was so minimal I barely felt it (unlike my nipple pierce, which was pretty rough). I looked down and there it was, a new toy to play with:-) I have since realized that it might have been better to mark the spot while I had an erection, because even though the pierce is centered over the median line that runs down my dick, when I'm hard it winds up over to the right-hand side. I guess there's not much that can be done about that though, and in general I'm satisfied with the way it turned out. I've started thinking about adding a couple more around it so that it is more symmetrical when I'm hard ... but I don't want to put too much metal in my shaft, since I'd be afraid of getting hooked on some of my grrls piercings. We get rough sometimes when we fuck, and an otherwise pleasurable pelvic thrust could get nasty if our piercings linked up. Don't get me wrong, I like to link my rings into hers sometimes, but I prefer to have that planned out in advance :-)

Since the initial pierce, I've moved up to a 12g open-hoop with a captured bead. I'd like to stretch it again to 10g, but I'm afraid that might make the pierce migrate, and I don't want to lose it. I really enjoy this piercing ... and so does my grrl. It's fun to get caught on her tongue bar heheh. The other thing I want to do with this lorum is to use it as a cock ring. I have read some things on BME about people doing that, but I haven't found the right jewelry yet. I recently found out that a 1inch 10g hoop I had lying around fits perfectly around the head of my cock. When it's flaccid, I can just barely fit the skin through the hoop, and when I'm hard the bead fits perfectly under the cleft of my head. It would look great if I could have the ring around my head, and a ring around the base as well. Maybe I'll have to give that 10g stretch another thought. What's the worst that could happen? I' have to go through another lorum pierce, and this time make sure I mark the spot with an erection.

Since the Chicago trip I've recently got a guiche, which is the best so far ... but that's another story for later.
