I became fascinated with genital piercing after reading a friend's doctorate paper on the subject. She did many interviews with individuals who had genital piercings. She told me that she also became intrigued by the subject and after a year of work and receiving her doctor's degree went and had her labia pierced. She has since had several others. I asked her for a copy of her paper and read it through several times. I started imagining a piece of jewelry on my penis.

Well, it seems that in November of 1998 my nephew visited me for Thanksgiving. After he left I found a "thank you" note with a $100 bill and a message to buy myself a birthday gift for my upcoming birthday in December. Well it didn't take long to decide that my gift would be a frenum piercing. I was embarrassed as hell to go into a tatto shop to ask questions. I drove past the shop several days in a row. Then I got the nerve to call on the phone and asked if they did genital piercings. O course they did. Next day, after a stiff shot of brandy I went in and talked to the owner. I was expecting him to look at me like I was totally nuts. Instead, he was very professional. He told me his name is Terry and asked me outside to sit at some private seating and explained genital piercing to me. What a relief, in privacy! He said a frenum would be a good starter piercing. Starter? I'm thinking it's going to be my only piercing. I said I'd think about it. Well I thought about it on my way home and when I got there I called him and said I'd be in the next day for the big experience.

Next day, gonna do it. I go in fill out the forms, get the aftercare sheets while he put all the stuff in the autoclave. The room is neat, clean and reminds me of my doctor's exam room. Terry explains the procedure then tells me to "drop them". So off go the pants and underwear. I'm embarrassed sitting on this table while this young man is handling my tool and inking dots on it for my approval. Then to my ultimate humiliation I start to pop a boner. Shit!! I apologize but Terry isn't the least bit fazed and just continues his work like a true pro. We agree on the position of the 10 gauge CBR and he tells me that I'm gonna feel a little pinch. I don't look down but I do feel a slight pinch and thinking that he readjusted the clamp do look down to see him putting the bead into the ring. All done, no bleeding. He said it might bleed a little so wrapped it in gauze and taped it all together so that it looked like my dick was in a splint. On the way to my car I wanted to do a heel click I was so stoked, what a high!

Since then I've gotten a frenum latter of 5 piercings. I don't keep jewelry in the one directly under the head because the small flap of skin is so think I'f araid of tearing it, but I can put a 4 gauge in when I wand to play with it. The others are from top to almost the base of the shaft are 10, 8, 6, and 4 gauge. I'm planning two more all the way to the base of the shaft and want to stretch them to 2 and 0 gauge. Final plan is an 8 pierce ladder down my scrotum with all 00 gauge jewelry. I've also had 4 guiches. They're tough ones and had to remove 2 that pinched so bad, made me crazy. The two that are left are 6 and 4 gauge and are so comfortable I hardly notice they are there "cept when I play with them. I found some jewelry that is like captive bead, but are actually screw balls in large gauges. The circular bb's would hook onto eachother and cause a lot of discomfort. These screwballs are fantastic. My guiches can handle 0 gauge but I think the size would be uncomfortable.

If you live in the Palm Springs area and looking for a great piercing studio then run to Body Accents. Owners Terry and Carla are great. They also have one of the best tattoo artist in the desert. Just a note that I had trepidation over some of the customers I'd meet in the studio, but some of the kids were great. Even though I'm old enough to be thier grandfather, they treated me like I was just one of the gang. Maybe something to do with the 10 gauge rings in my ears!

I've submitted a photo of my ladder to BME for the gallery. If I have any computer skills they should be there in a day or two.
