I've been getting tattoos and piercings since I was 18. I've got three tattoos, a removed nipple piercing and a current navel piercing (as well as 3 piercings in my ears). Sometimes you just get the itch to get body mods done. I had it. I just had my 32nd birthday and new I was due for either ink or needles. I'd thought about getting my nipple redone, when I saw some of the pictures on BMEzine of frenums. I read all the testimonials and was very interested.I found a some good pictures and asked my wife what she thought about it. She wasn't too into it. She thought it'd hurt like hell and mess up our sex life. I assured her that it'd only make what's great, better. She didn't think I was too serious about it.
A few days later, I went to the shop I had my navel piercing done at and asked one of the guys about the procedure. He said that there wasn't anything to it and compared the pain factor to a nipple piercing. I had my nipple pierced and I remembered how bad my previous one had done. The artist (not at this shop) put it in way too deep and it hurt constantly. It always stuck out instead of hanging down. It was more through my aereola than my nipple. I told the guy I thought I'd like it and let's do it now. Their piercer was out, so I made an appointment for a few days later.
The anticipation was wicked! Finally, the time came. I was pretty nervous but was determined not to back out. I arrived at the shop a few minutes early. The guy that was scheduled to perform the piercing had called in sick. That was a big letdown, because I knew if I had to wait, I might talk myself out of it. I met the young lady, Somerset, who was doing the piercings for the day and she told me said she had only done two frenum procedures, but felt she was experienced enough to do mine. I asked her if her previous customers had any problems and she said no. I didn't change my mind at all and told her I trusted her to do mine.
They were busy so I waited as she did two procedures ahead of me. She was with another customer and had just finishing up. So I burned a cigarette and she stepped outside and did to. I asked her about frenum piercings in general and she said a lot of guys get one for their first genital piercing and that me and my wife will have allot of fun with it. I even inquired about female geital piercings because who knows, I may talk my wife into one oneday. She said the vertical clit hood is the one to go with. I filed this away for future reference.
It was then time to get it done. We went to the backroom where they do the procedures. She did a quick size check to see what jewelry would do best. I guess your body knows what is about to happen because I had the "turtle" action going on. She said that (shrinkage) is the case most of the time, which made me feel better. She discussed the aftercare and got a sea salt mixture ready for me and the recipe on how much to mix. I then picked out the jewelry. I went with a 10-gauge barbell. I knew if I got something too small, I'd be unhappy and just end up changing it later anyway. After the autoclaving, she sterilzed and put on the gloves. Then she carefully clamped and marked the spot. The marking took the longest, because she had to avoid any blood vesels and ensure that it was even on both sides. She held a mirror so I could check it out. I told het it looked good. She told me to take a deep breath and as I exhaled, she pushed the needle through. It pinched, more that it hurt, but it only lasted about a second. I think it compared to my navel piercing as far as pain goes. I even told her I expected a bigger rush of endorphins.
It was done. I had a stainless steel barbell through my dick! It bled a bit, so she cleaned it with gauze and wrapped a glove around it so I wouldn't be a mess when I got home. I was very happy with how it looked. She did a wonderful job.
That evening, I was extra careful with it. Trying to avoid bumping it or moving it around much. My wife thought I was nuts and in complete agony. I told her that it was just new and it needed to heal as I got used to it. It's now been about four weeks and it is pretty much completely healed. I've used sea salt soaks everyday, augmented by multi vitamins. My wife is getting used to it too. She has recommended the piercing to a friend, for her husband to get.
If near the coast in South Carolina, I recommend Factor 5. When I get the itch again I know I'll be going back there.
