I had been thinking about getting some kind of piercing for a while now. I just was not overly sure where to have it done. For a long time I was overweight and never felt that any type of mod was suitable. I finally started to lose weight and as a reward to myself I have decided to get all the mods I had always wanted, but was too afraid to obtain. After a few months of brooding on the issue I came to the conclusion that I didn't want a piercing in a visible place. If only just to avoid the hassle of having to take it out for jobs, ect. I wasn't too keen on getting my nipples done so that just left the genital area.

Also I felt that my foreskin was ripe for a piercing due to the amount of skin that I had down there, I would be able to get a piercing and not have it interfere with any operational logistics when it came to sex.
Once I had settled on a final location I needed to settle on where to get this piercing done. I looked all around the Detroit area and couldn't locate a shop that I felt comfortable in, or would do the piercing for me. I'm not just trusting a piercing in my private area to just anyone that was for sure. After much research and testimonials for friends I decided to get it done at a shop in Columbus, about three hours away from where I lived. I emailed the owner of the shop about my ideas. He agreed that the piercing could be done and to come in and discuss placement and jewelry type.
The day of I was quite nervous to say the least. My appointment was at 4:00pm, so I left my house around noon in order to have some extra time to get something to eat before the procedure. I arrived there and met with Pat, whom was very professional. We talked for a bit before getting down to business. I wanted my piercing to be on the underside of my penis. He suggested a curved barbell for comfort sake, for both myself and my partners. Since the piercing itself was mostly for adornment and personal satisfaction of just having a piercing I wanted to make sure it was not going to needlessly cause myself or others discomfort. Once that was all settled we started the procedure. Pat marked the entry and exit holes, made sure that nothing was going to get in the way or be hindered by the piercing. He told me to take a deep breath and it was all over. The only sensation I felt was a sharp poke and that was all, no other pain or discomfort. I credit Pat for being so professional and making that piercing go smoothly.
There was a little blood, but it had stopped by the time I got home. I think it was mostly due to the piercing moving around while I was driving. It has been a week now since having it done. The hardest part for me is just leaving it alone. I am always trying to make sure the piercing is alright. I don't want it to get infected or anything like that. The second hardest part is waiting for it to be healed so I can change out the jewelry. I've got two pieces being custom made and having them around for two months without being able to put them in is going to drive me crazy. I haven't been able to test the waters in regards to relations as of yet, but both of my partners have expressed fascination, so I hope it won't be too uncomfortable for them. The one who has seen it just mentioned that it being on the bottom may not add any extra stimulus, but she is not sure as I will be the only guy she has known with a genital piercing.
Overall I'm glad I went through the experience. I'm not sure if I will be getting any other piercings in the future though. Everyone says that they are so addictive, but I think the issue is more of not getting what you want in the first place. In my case I got exactly what I wanted, where I wanted. Overall I found that the foreskin is a great place to have done, not painful in the least and quick healing, thankfully!
