Where to start?
At A Glance Author Auricle Contact Auricle@bme.anon When A month ago Artist Steve Studio The Piercing Shop Location Taunton, Somerset I turned 32 in September 2006 and I worked in an role which meant that I could not have piercings, mainly due to health and safety reasons but also some political! I had wanted one for ages and thought, what the hell, I am going for it.
I decided that I wanted to get my ear pierced so went out and got my Helix done, which went pretty well, although it has been knocked a few times but it is getting better. Having this piercing has kick started an inner feeling that I enjoyed, difficult to explain but it is like I released something when I had it done so it was not long before I wanted another.
I had to keep the next one discreet, due to work but I liked the idea about getting something done to my genitals. I decided on a PA but my wife was less than happy with that decision so I compromised and we both agreed on a foreskin piercing. (PA to be negotiated at a later date!) I had a few comments from work regarding my Helix piercing but it was accepted, which made me feel good so I was almost tempted to get a forward Pinna but my wife was worried that I could get disciplined for this at work due to the nature of it and at this time it was more important to be able to pay the mortgage than have a piercing that could ruin everything.
I travelled to the shop which was about 20 miles away, I was semi nervous but also excited. I had chosen to go to The Piercing Shop in Taunton, I heard good things about them and there website looked pretty good and informative as well. When we arrived at the shop, my first impressions were very good, very clean shop, lots of jewellery and even a well dressed and likeable chap on the counter. I informed him of what I wanted and he showed me the jewellery that they recommend and I was all set.
My wife could not watch so she waited outside with my wallet (Same old story there then!) Steve asked me to lay down on the sterile paper towelling he had just placed down on the medical bed.
He asked me where I would like it to be and I suggested a couple of places but had asked him to agree on a final position as he had done many before and I wanted his input. He marked my foreskin with a double pen like device for entry and exit holes of the piercing and he asked me to roll back my foreskin to see if I was happy with where it will sit.
I was more that happy with it's location so he started to pierce me, he was talking to me all the time and was explaining that he does use a different needle to many other piercers as he had invented them himself, they were called AccuPierce and it is understood to be kinder on the body and promote healing. I cannot honestly say this is to be true or not as I have never had a genital piercing before so I cannot compare it to a conventional needle.
The whole process lasted seconds, I did not feel hardly a thing apart from a tiny pin prick that went as soon as I felt it. The piercing looked great, it did not bleed and for a few hours when I moved around I could feel it. It was a nice sensation to be honest, depending how it moves. I took a few minutes to hang about the shop afterwards and was chatting to the guy behind the counter as he was interested in my experience and offered some advice on healing times and what I should do if it was to get infected. I was handed a leaflet which was very informative and they had even entered on the front what size and type jewellery I had in so this will help remind me in the future when it comes to changing the BCR.
It is over a month now since I had it and it is healing very quickly and easy. I still like the feeling I get from it when it moves about and although it does not really help assist any extra sensation during sex, the thought of it there alone is enough to increase excitement. I love the idea of having it there and only a few close friends and interested family members have seen it and this in itself is enough to make me feel good. I am still to ask if I can get a PA next but watch this space.....
