I had been thinking about getting a piercing for a long time and was deciding on which one to get done. With work and school I did not want to get anything on my face or someplace really noticeable and wanted something that nobody would know about unless I wanted them to. So the eyebrow piercing that I wanted was out of the question for now anyway. So then I started looking at genital piercings. I knew right away that I wanted my foreskin pierced. I like the way it looked and it would not affect my getting jobs.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Don't know name Studio The Edge Location Houghton, Michigan I stared to gather as much information as I could on foreskin piercings like placement, aftercare, healing time, jewelry, cost, and anything else I could find on the internet. I looked through many pages of info and at many pictures which only made me want to get mine done even more. Before you get any piercing done make sure that you do all the research that you can on it and make sure it is right for you because if it is not you will have wasted a lot of time and money. Also think about it for a couple of days and do not do it on the spur of them moment.
We only have one piercing studio in my area, The Edge, but I knew that they were good from experiences that friends told me so there was no need to find another place farther away. I had also been there once watching my sister get the inside of her ear pierced before I got my piercing done. This helped calm my nerves a little bit. I always feel better when I know what I am getting myself into and what to expect. Make sure that the piercing studio is very clean, sterile, and smells good. If it is not sterile or you do not like the place leave and find another place to get your piercing done at. This is your body so do what you think and feel is right. If you are not one hundred percent sure that you want to get it done then do not do it.
When first I got to the piercing studio I had to fill out paper work and show them my ID so that they knew that I was eighteen and did not need parental permission. I was really nervous. The workers at the studio were really nice and told me not to worry. Then I was brought to the piercing room where the piercer got all his stuff ready to pierce my foreskin. At this point I was really nervous. He showed me that everything was sterile and we were ready to go.
First he cleaned off my foreskin and then marked it with a permanent marker (which I got to keep) and asked if that is where I wanted it. I got mine done on the right side of my foreskin but you can get it done almost anywhere on it. Next he put a clamp on the part that I wanted pierced, which did not hurt like I heard it did. Then he asked if I was ready and to take a deep breath. Then he poked the needle through as I exhaled. It did not even hurt. I was a small pinch that lasted a second. It did not even bleed like I expected it to. I expected that it would hurt a lot more than it did. Finally he put the ring in, a 14 gauge captive ring, and the piercing was over.
After it was all over I paid sixty dollars for my piercing and it was all. I also bought some H2Ocean spray for after care for. I heard that it was really good and that was all that you had to use for after care. I even got a discount on it so I only paid five dollars for it. The piercer told me that I could call or come in if I had any other questions for him. The Edge is very professional and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a piercing or tattoo.
I am really happy with my piercing so far. The hardest part is not being able to touch it. I can not wait till is heals completely in about two months so I change the jewelry. I want to put a curved barbell in it. Piercings are addictive so be careful. I am already thinking about what I want to get done next. I am thinking about a lip or eyebrow if I can. Feel free to send me any questions that you have about foreskin piercings and I will try to answer it.
I hope this helps anyone looking to get their foreskin pierced. Good luck piercing!
