A littel sorty about my first selfdone piercing : a foreskin-piercing , at home. (December 2001)

First of all, I was fascinated from body modification for long time now. Some months ago, I decided to do a genital piercing myself.I thought, a genitale piercing is a little bit more extraodinary, than other pierings and I thought , it could be intressting how it could maybe change my sex-life.

So, I saw a lot of pics about genitale piercings here at BME, and found that a foreskin piercing could be a good beginning.
I read some articles about this piercing and, with some „medicial" background knownlegde, I was sure I had to do this !!

So, I went to a piercing-studio here in Munich ( South of Germany) , and bought a 1.2 mm barbell. I asked the owner of the piercings-studio, how to do it exactly, and he gave me a good introduction (even he told me, that at this studio they do not make foreskin-piercings, just frenum-piercings...).
At a pharmacy, I bought three i.v.-cannula / -cathteter (diameter 1.3 mm) and one antisepticum (contains: Povidon-Iod), which could be used at a mucous membrane, and an other alcoholic antisepticum form my hands.

Alone at home, I put evey thing on the clean table, took a long shower ,tried to relax, and after some minutes of thinking,, if I should really do this, I started....

At first, I desinfected my hands with this alcoholic solution.Then, I desinfected the whole area around the foreskin with the Povidon-Iod-antisepticum two or three times . Then I took the sterile i.v. cannula out of the package and looked at my forsekin, hold in my left hand. I marked the entering spot and outcoming spot imaginarely. And I pushed the needle right through the foreskin. (from the outer side of the foreskin to the inner side of the foreskin. But I think, it is possible to do it the other way round , too...) ). The needle went easly through the skin .It didnīt hurt a lot , just a little prick, as the needle entered the skin. And there were some drops of blood...... The most difficult part of it all, was to hold the foreskin with one hand, and to push the needle with the other hand though the skin.... maybe a second person could be very helpfull here.

But I was somehow really fascinated, as I saw my foreskin with a needle through it....
Then I put the barbell on the i.v.-cannula and placed the piercing. This was really easy, too. And didnīt hurt much, too.
At the end, I desinfected the whole area again and took a pride look at the result....

The whole procedure tooks just about 10 to 15 min.

The next days, I realiced some pain at the foreskin, especially when I had to walk a lot. There was a little swelling at the foreskin,but nothing more. I often took a shower and desinfected the foeskin daily, for about one week or so.

After three weeks, everything healed really good, there was absolutly no pain or swelling anymore. And the barbell was easy to turn , too. But I cleaned the priercing about once a week with a alkoholic solution.

Now, four months later, evrything is fine, too. And I never had pain or something else down there at my foreskin-piercing. And to clean the piercing, I am just taking a normal shower.

So, as a first conclusion, I must say, that I really like this piercing now, and moreover, it was not very difficult to do it, so I think it can be good choice for a first selfdone genitale piercing.

And the experience to do it myself ,was great !! I think , there is a big difference, between doing a piercing your own, or gettring a piercing at a piercing-studio. Especially the feeling of pushing your self a needle through your skin, is something extraordinary. Nevertheless, everyone should decide for his own, what he prefers, and if someone like to do it alone, he should know the procedure in detail , and know how to handle sterile products, because a deep infection at the foreskin or in the genitale area isnīt really funny., I think.

The last months ,I showed my new piercing some friends, and most of them were fascinated. And the feedback especially from the girls was great, too .... I think, some of the girls really loved it.

Actually I am planning to do some more piercings, and certainly another genitale one, too. But this is an other story. But I will send the pics from my foreskin.piercing to BME the next days, maybe someone like to see them
