It's finally good for something |

My love affair started out with an earring.I had that earring done early this year with an IV catheter needle by my mother. I did it mostly to show my little brother (who also is pierced) that the whole procedure didn't hurt at all. And, at the time, it was true; I did the piercing under a local anesthetic of lidocaine. I loved my earring, loved the way it looked having the metal sticking through my body, and I loved the sensations I had when it jangled.
But I had feelings of guilt. I hadn't done this the right way, I hadn't felt the process. I felt like a coward. So, I went one to do two more piercings without any anesthetic besides ice (one upper lobe, and one upper conch). Both of these piercings were done in my friend's kitchen—not that I recommend this to anyone, it's just the method I took. I loved them even more than I loved the first one; my favorite part was the feeling of the needle shearing the flesh and sliding through.
Along with these piercings, I started reading the BME website. I surfed through all of the piercing pages, looked at all of the different piercings. They all looked somewhat interesting to me, somewhat desirable, but it wasn't until I saw the foreskin piercings that I realized what I really wanted. They were so beautiful and they looked like they'd be fairly painless, so I decided that a foreskin piercing would be my best bet for my next project.
I finally decided to do it last night. So I found a large safety pin, a pair of ring forceps (I have the advantage of having a doctor for a mother), a 16 ga. captured bead ring, a glassful of ice, some alcohol, and a shot glass. I put a towel down on my bed, laid down on my back, clamped the desired area with the ring clamps, and proceeded to ice it for approximately twenty minutes.
It's extremely important that you select the proper place to pierce. Because of the unique nature of the foreskin, what you would think to be a piercing straight through yields something resembling a surface piercing when the penis is erect. It's very difficult to get this straight. In fact, I never did... if only for this reason, I would suggest going to a professional piercer.
Even if you're going to do it yourself, you need to make absolutely sure that you do *not* hit any major blood vessels. The best way to check for those blood vessels is to stretch the foreskin and regard it against a white background or a light. This allows you to see not only the large, blue veins, but also the smaller red arteries. I seriously suggest that you try VERY hard not to hit even the smallest of these--blood is *not* a fun experience, and it tends to cause major infection problems.
I tested the numbness with the point of the needle, found it to be utterly senseless, and jammed the needle through the skin. I didn't feel it at all.
I then slowly removed the needle, and attempted to slide the ring through. But, alas! It wouldn't go through. I couldn't even find the damn holes. I realized that I had to give up and try again later.
I went to the drugstore earlier today and picked up a package of large leather needles (the kind used to sew leather pieces together). I guess that they were approximately 14 or 15 gauge.
I repeated my procedures with the clamping and the icing, but this time I also tracked down an apple and a pair of straight forceps. After my foreskin was completely numb, I put the apple behind it, clipped the needle between the jaws of the forceps, and stabbed it through. There was only the tiniest bit of pain as the point finally penetrated.
I suddenly realized that the needle had passed through my foreskin. There was a moment of pain (psychologically induced) and then sudden elation as the endorphins kicked in. I then realized that I would have to put the ring through.
I knew that if I removed the needle, I wouldn't be able to slide the ring through. So, I slid the needle down all the way so that the eye of the needle held the hole open. I then used that opening to slide the ring through. I then worked the needle out, clipped the bead into the earring, and stood up.
By the time I had put all of my equipment away, the piercing was starting to bleed a small amount. Only a couple of small drops of blood had welled up, and so I simply wrapped it in a tissue and put a pony-tail scrunchy on it to keep it in place.
It's only been a couple hours, but already I'm in love. It's amazingly auto-erotic and beautiful. Too bad I can't masturbate right now... I'm not particularly interested in tearing it.
