Dydoe Experience.

Hey all, here is my some what detailed experience of the lead up to and the process of gaining a pair of Dydoes and the days/weeks/months that follow. My first intention was to race home after the procedure and write up exactly how I feel right now after having them done. On second thoughts though, I would like to attempt to give you a number of days/weeks after the procedure also.

I have nothing against the numerous other experiences here on BME and they have been of immense help to me when ever I choose to have new work done. My Dydoe experience was no different with me viewing all the pictures I could find and reading each and every experience on here. I find however they tend to follow the same formulae and I would like to offer you a hopefully more in-depth and extended insight to the process and what could or will in this case follow. I hope that this will prove to be of benefit to anyone who is intent or curious about following in my and others footsteps.

I will give a quick about me and why run down. Those who wish to jump straight into it, should skip this and go straight to the subheading "Procedure".

I already have a frenum and in my opinion I would suggest that this is a good way to start when considering genital piercings, rather than jumping in the deep end and start with this simple process. This has allowed me to understand what is required when it comes to the cleaning and the healing process. Whilst not exactly being a novice to the needle. I have a frenum, septum(stretched), 2x eyebrow, labret and the usual ear guff. Any genital piercing requires in my mind, additional thought and attention when it comes to care and the unfortunate abstinence that goes with them.

The frenum offers you a taste of this type of work in a relatively low pain/quick healing process, to allow you to foresee what you are in for.

At the end of the day though any work you choose to have done is quite obviously your decision alone, but should be considered at length and with an open and realistic mind.

My decision to go for dydoes was not as simple as some. It had been 10 months since the frenum and as most of you know the hunger began to rise. With the usual work restrictions I was limited to something that was hidden. So naturally I chose another below the belt option. I knew the result I wanted and that was to have a single or pair of balls on top of the head of my unit and was at first considering an apadravya. If the option was there I would have chosen to have 1 done but since I suffer with kidney stones, I was unwilling to block my urethra any more. That led me to consider 2 angled apas to give me the desired result. The option of 2 was because I did not want to be lop sided and I prefer a balanced look. I hadn't really considered dydoes but after chatting to my piercer (Jake-Sacred Art Newcastle Australia) I began to look at other possibilities.

I had previously seen dydoes but from the pictures was unimpressed with the shallowness of the piercing and the high chance of rejection. Now I have what I consider to be an aesthetically pleasing member and wished to keep it free of any rejection scars. This to me was paramount in the decision making process. That and not wanting to fork out cash and go through the work to have it pop out a few months down the track.

That would suck and fingers crossed ( and toes) I wont have to worry about that.

So in a joint effort we decided to go with Dydoes and pierce deep on the back of the ridge/shaft, use curved bar bells and come out closer to the tip of my head than others.

Jake did mention that these would be the deepest and longest Dydoes he had done (approx 22 mm curved) (Not Zephyrs).

This worked for me as I believe all of us are looking for a little individuality in our own mods. Also this in theory would lessen any chance of rejection, however would increase the pain factor. Pain vs. result, Ill take pain any day.

• Procedure- I arrived at opening at 1000 to avoid the usual belly button crowd to allow Jake to provide me with 100% attention. This was his recommendation and I agreed 200%. I was offered to have the area numbed, but chose not to. This to me is part of the whole experience and the reward of the resulting adage would seem to me, somewhat undeserved. I do not get off on the pain of such things but I was not about to cheat myself out of the endorphin rush that follows.

The marking took around 15 minutes with a lot of measuring and placement decisions happening. I had 2 days prior been in for a quick measurement and mark up to ensure we were on the same page. So everything was placed just nicely.

A quick discussion as to how he wished to proceed followed. I asked if he intended to pierce both sides, then place jewelry or one at a time. We went for one at a time after being given the option to see how I felt after the first and if I may want to consider numbing or a waiting period before doing number 2. I was keen to jump straight in and said all things going well, I would like to do both as close together as possible.

We had originally decided to pierce with a 12, taper then insert jewelry. After consideration Jake asked if I was ok to go straight for a 10, taper then jewelry. He suggested that this would allow some bleeding and considering depth and length this may be a good thing and would also allow any muck to escape during the healing process. I agreed, as I do with all of his advice. After all it is he who does this for a living and not I.

We also chose to do this free-hand as it would allow him to make adjustments during the process, manipulate the area as we went and due to the length of the piercing a clamp was not really feasible.

At this point I was calm and ready to begin. So laid back and not wanting to watch the procedure I was asked to take a deep breath and exhale.

Doing the right side first, I was met with what I would refer to as an intense pain. Due to the length/depth of the piercing and toughness of the area, I ran out of breath just prior to the exit of the needle. I simply held it out and in a few seconds it was done. Right then I was eager for the jewelry to be placed to have it done with. It was in no time flat and that was 1 down.

I was asked if I was ok and ready to go for number 2. I was and with no hesitation we began again. This time the area to the left seemed to be a lot tougher than the right. If I though the right side took some time, I was quite wrong.

I ran out of breath this time about half way through. I had enough time to go "oh shit" in my mind, consider holding it and then decide to take another 2 deep breaths and exhale them. Maybe it was tougher due to me using it to wake up my girlfriend, as we all do by whacking it on her forehead. Something she enjoys immensely, I recommend it. Just be prepped to run.

Once everything was in, Jake mopped up the blood. There was a small amount compared to some I have seen but enough to require a few sheets of towel.

It looked nasty in the bin and I pity the next customer who sees it and thinks of my god what am I in for. I would suggest that it wont be there by the time the room is used again but you think of these things.

I was asked if I was ok, shaky, nauseas or light headed. I was none of these things as I had already had about 5 minutes as he cleaned up and got me finished. I did have a few gulps of Gatorade, which I had taken along just in case.

I was definitely tender at this point with a mild throbbing in the area but it was all as thought.

• 2 hours- The area is still throbbing slightly and very sensitive to touch (ok so don't touch you say). I have chosen walk around as little as possible and have worn the loosest pair of pants I have. With everything still bandaged up I cant see a whole lot, but can tell the bleeding has pretty much stopped. There is a little blood which has run down and gathered in my frenum and a small amount coming through the bandage on top. All looks pretty good at this point. I have also just been to urinate and aside from acting like a sissy upon getting it out and back in, there was no issue involved. I must say at this time because everything is well covered, I am a little disappointed that I cant whip it out and look at it. Oh well Guess that can wait.

• 5 hours- The throbbing has all but subsided now. This may be because I've been seated since the 2 hours point browsing the net. Thanks again BME for keeping me busy. I have also just drained the main vein for the second time and had a quick look whilst there. I was only able to lift the gauze slightly to see in the end but the left side has a nice clot over it and the right side is well.... spotless. It makes sense that the left it bloodier due to the effort to get through. There does appear to be no additional bleeding to what I have mentioned before. I did at about the 3 hours mark get a little uneasy, so decided to grab a quick snack to settle me. All is back to normal now. Its almost as though I hadn't had it done. I spoke to a couple of mates and after both telling me I'm a dickhead and asking when will this stop, they asked for a snap shot of it when it's done. Curiosity always seems to get the better of people.

• 12 hours- Its come time to have a quick shower and I'm excited as hell. It's going to be the first time I have unwrapped my new toy and will get a good look at it.

Obviously it takes a bit of time and care to remove the bandaging and accompanying tape etc. With this care, I was able to remove it without annoying the piercing at all.

I first allowed the water to run over the bandaging, to get it to soften any crusties that may be attached to me and the bandage. Also to assist in the removal of the tape. What can I say but freakin great work. I used the usual q-tips to wipe away the clots that had built up. I am however thinking better of it now. As I did I had to go under the balls and lifting them caused no pain but allowed the blood to begin to flow again. Not a lot of it but enough to begin running off the end with the flow of water . In retrospect I think it may have been better to leave it for the next day or maybe even 2. I was also sure to check the tightness of the balls as instructed. I was told to do this daily for the first week or so. Good advise, as I'm sure as hell not keen on having one pop out during my sleep, wake up in a bloody mess and to have to do it all again. I took a few snap shots of it. I'm trying to get these daily to document its progress. I also ducked in to show my girlfriend. She is not particularly impressed with it and even had issues with my original frenum. She is still supportive though and curious to a point. When I went to leave the room to bandage it, she insisted that I stay so she could watch. Fingers crossed this curiosity will grow with time. Again there is no pain and little to no swelling or bruising. I figure this may come tomorrow or the next day. I have been taking some anti-inflammatory to help with any swelling and have taken some just before I go to bed where I expect most of the swelling to happen.

• Day 2 - I was a little concerned about the usual stories of night time tent pitching but luckily enough either it didn't happen because I had it fairly tightly bandaged or it just didn't hurt at all. I'm thinking the first option, because when in bed with my girlfriend she thought it funny to rub her arse in my crotch to tease me. I had the usual reaction and when I was semi hard I could feel a little pain (light throb) in the right side. Not a lot mind you but enough to make her stop it from becoming a rager and me finding out just how much it might hurt. This as I noticed in the morning resulted in a little dried blood around the right side on top of the head. I didn't shower this morning due to a lack of time but was sure to give it a change of dressing. Chance for a few more snaps and some touch ups with q-tips. This time I was more particular in ensuring tightening and wrapped tissues over both ends to tighten. This gives a better grip and makes sure I don't touch it with my hands even though I washed in anti-bacterial soap.

This again resulted in the usual blood letting but only minor. However this time both sides bled when the balls were lifted slightly and I also got a little blood at the rear of the left side. Once the tension was released the bleeding stopped immediately. No pain today and no signs of swelling or bruising. I still have the blue markings, for as yet I'm not to keen on a scrubbing effort in that area just yet. In addition I pulled my foreskin back over for the first time. Nice and slow and quite an easy fit ( I have a large foreskin) . A couple more happy snaps of the beast and then packaged it back up. Due to the placement of them I had to run an extra line of tape around the end of my unit to close it off, to capture any blood drips. Leaving just the tip out to allow urination. I have found that the clear type large adhesive is easier to remove then the white tape from any contact skin. (note to self). I'm thinking as this point that while I may not need the bandaging after day 2 or 3 depending how things progress, I might just keep it up for maybe 2 weeks as they are creating a nice barrier against any rubbing or irritation from my pants.

As a quick side note. Due to not being circumcised I have chatted with my piercer and we have decided that it may be a good idea to bring the foreskin over the piercing whenever possible. Especially during the day when wearing restrictive clothing. This will assist in a number of ways. First it is a natural barrier against rubbing jewelry against clothing. (Learnt that from the frenum) and secondly, because these types of piercings can be prone to migration. It will allow a little down force to hold them in place during the initial healing process. Countering any rejection movement. Once I can do this without causing additional bleeding then that is the plan. I will of course leave it withdrawn during night time to allow the wound to breath.

• Day 3 AM – I've woken up a little tender again on the right side and my foreskin also feels slightly irritated. No blood from the night before and the tenderness goes away as I get in the shower and remove the bandaging. Perhaps I had it a little tight and I think maybe the tape was pushing my foreskin up against the back balls. Also I believe I may have had an erection during the night which put pressure on the top from the tightness again of the bandage. Still no bruising, so I figure I've missed that train. No complaints on that one though. In the shower again I used q-tips and tightened the balls. The tightening was accompanied by the usual bleeding but this time a little heavier than previous bleeds. Nothing to worry about though, as standard it stopped almost immediately upon letting the balls sit back in place. This was also a good morning for me, as I managed to get a ¾ erection without touching or rubbing it. I was very eager to see how it looked and feel it out for comfort. Now I know a rager is going to be more pressure but it handled it very well with no problems or additional bleeding. Also a nice thing to notice is that the balls have created very small indents where they are placed and seem to be settling in just fine. The entry and exit hole are looking fantastic with the shaft entry points a little sore to touch.

PM- I've just got home from work, which requires a small amount of walking and a flight of stairs. No problems there but when I arrived home I was a little tender to touch. Luckily enough though I am still yet to bump it on anything. I tried to have a bath and keep it dry. I grabbed a small plastic bag and placed some med tape around the base. I left some air in the end of the bag which made it float toward the top of the water in an attention like stance. I thought all went well until I got out and took the bag off. The bandage unfortunately had become wet and there for was removed. I am sitting here now with some loose pants on to give it a quick breather before packaging it away. There is also no signs of blood at this point. Nice.

• Day 4- No issues waking up this morning and only again small clots around the top holes visible. I have noticed that there is a little swelling around my foreskin though. I encountered Paraphimosis (swelling and tightness of the foreskin)with my frenum. I do at this point recommend a bit of research on the phenomena. Not only to make you aware of its seriousness and risk, but also that you are aware of its occurrence and how to deal with it. Mine was a result of having my foreskin pulled back for a period of time. At first I noticed the foreskin was a little tight and difficult to pull over the head. After a few days past this became tighter and harder to do. This can result in swelling of the head and make this a nasty spiral of events to endure. An ice pack and replacement of the foreskin usually fixes the situation. In this case, today I have replaced the foreskin during the day for periods of time as well as removing the bandage and allowing the area to breath.

I have also just completed my cleaning ritual in the shower and this time allowed some anti-bacterial soap to wash over the area. Tightening the balls again resulted in a small amount of blood as standard. This time though there was very little to talk about. I did notice though when pulling the left back ball away from the skin a nice clot has formed which surrounds the bottom of the ball and goes into the open wound. I allowed a small amount of water to wash off this and then let it be.

My head is very sensitive to touch. I'm not quite sure if it's painful or pleasurable just yet. My girlfriend also wanted to look at it when hard with my new additions. Being the nice guy I am, I obliged her and could only feel a slight throb on the right side when fully erect. I am noticing that when encountering this light throb, it results in maintaining the erection. I'm not sure if this is a pain/pleasure thing or when you feel the pain you begin to focus on it. This has the effect of lengthening the duration of the erection. Hopefully this will continue when everything is healed and have an previously unconsidered benefit.

I have bandage everything up again for bed and will do so for work tomorrow. I have plans at this juncture to leave it open tomorrow night for sleeping and to perhaps bandage for a few more times for day time protection.

I again grabbed some quick pics and it is wonderful to discover that no matter how particular you are, there always seems to be a stray hair or bit of fluff that jumps on for the shot. I would be concerned if anyone who didn't know what I had done, walked into the room with me having my dick on my desk, light just atop of it and camera in hand.

I might also mention that I can't stop looking at it and am still as happy as a pig in shit about my decision and the outcome thus far.

• Day 5- Everything has been going just fine today. The tiniest of blood clots was around the right side top ball. During the night I woke to visit the toilet and noticed the bandage was hanging off one side and not covering anything. Maybe a night time wood saw to that. I left it off for the remainder of the night and simply pulled my foreskin over for protection.

A couple of wins today. My girlfriend, before leaving for work decided she wanted a quick look at it. This was a bonus. It does seem she is at least mildly interested. She also gave it a quick kiss on the top before she left. Woohoo. The second win for the day was in the bath when I checked for tightness. This resulted in no blood at all. This has been the first time that this has happened and signals the healing process is going well.

I have worn my foreskin back for the majority of the day to allow further breathing of the wound. This resulted in a little irritation when walking, even with some loose pants on. Not enough to worry about, but enough to remind me to take it easy and that it's there. I've also taken the opportunity to replace my frenum straight bar with a horse shoe. Even though the frenum is about 10 months old it has never really healed completely. The horse shoe allows easier cleaning I find and for any additional gunk to come out. Every time I remove my bar and undo the ball, I get quite a strong and unpleasant smell. This comes from the thread itself and inside the ball. It is amazing how the bacteria will get in anything regardless of how small the opening. The horse shoe also keeps the balls away from the entry and exit hole. I figure that if I can't par take in sexual frivolities, I may as well wear the jewelry I like most and promote some additional healing whilst I'm at it.

Week 1- Its just been a week since the initial piercing and I can't believe how well things are going. There is only the slightest amount of lymph and no more blood at all. Even the entry and exit holes look like they have been there forever. I can now put pressure on either end of the jewelry and allow the opposite end to stick out to have a good look and clean. One slight concern though is that I am getting some pain from tightness of the jewelry during erection. Even though the jewelry is just over 20mm in length it sits snug against my head on both sides. For this reason and I think because my foreskin puts pressure on the back of the jewelry, the left side appears to be making a larger impression (possible hole) in the back of my head. I'm hoping that this will stop and it will go no further. I will be dropping into my piercer at the first opportunity and see if we can drop in 2 new ones which are at least a few mm longer. I might even consider larger balls on the back just to make sure. I have for the last few days pulled the foreskin back to reduce the pressure until I can make it in for a second opinion.

I also had a gentle self love session (day 7 ). Not because I needed to, but to check how things were progressing. Only issue was due to the tightness and upon ejaculation as the head swelled during each "squirt" the pain would intensify and make it quite an unpleasurable experience. Also if I gripped too tight I could feel the jewelry moved within my shaft just before the head and this also was not as pleasant as I was hoping. All to be expected though, considering the newness of the piercing and how they appear to be a little tight right now.

Keeping up the usual salt soaks daily as well.

One additional note. I figured that whilst I was healing 2 new works I may as well heal 3. So I did a stretch from 10g-8g on my frenum. I had a 8g large diameter ring and taper laying around from my septum. So after cleaning it I jumped in the

bath to soften the area and set to work. I found that rather than apply brute force I chose to take time and do it gently. After the event the jewelry was very very tight and unfortunately has made the whole area a little sensitive again. This has had no effect on the progress of my dydoe healing though.

• Day 10- I have just been back into my piercer for a quick look see and a change of jewelry as previously mentioned. He was as happy as I was with the exceptional progress that has been made in the healing stakes. I have replaced the SS curved bars with PFTE units which enable a measure of additional adjustment should it be needed. This will also allow me when ready to change back to SS, a way of getting the perfect measure of the jewelry I wish to wear permanently. The changing over was only mildly irritating from a pain perspective and a slight catch on the left side reminded me of how new this work was. No issues with the process and it was over in a matter of minutes. This has given me a few extra mm on each end to play with and has also given me larger balls on either end.

I must mention though that walking out of the studio I left my foreskin back and this meant friction against my pants ( just come from work) rather uncomfortable. This lasted the entire drive home ( 20 minutes peak hour) but returned to normal once home and changing into loose pajama pants. I will be sure to give my mate a nice warm salt bath before hitting the sack.

• Week 4 – Things have been progressing well and I have kept up the soaks and cleaning quite regularly. I've also been game enough to let my girlfriend have a play with it recently but it still requires a delicate hand. The stretched frenum seems to be more tender than the dydoes. We did attempt intercourse but just getting it in and not moving was enough to place too much pressure on them to continue. I might also mention that it was a nightmare to get a condom on. Oh well will just have to wait. With my foreskin in its normal position it becomes moist and if left for a large period of time ( 8 hours for work) it can get a slight odor to it. I leave it back as often as possible to let it dry out. It is still weeping when out in the open but dries up causing crusties around the hole on top. Still lymphing as well which the soaks take care of.

A nice bonus at this point is that I can now leave my foreskin back and not be irritated by them rubbing on my pants.

I was concerned about migration last week, as they looked like there was some slight tearing on the head but it just turned out to be crusties giving it that look. My main concern about dydoes was migration so I'm keeping a close eye on them. Its hard to tell if they have moved since I see it every day but all looks like is in the place it started. Excellent !!

• 2 Months Ive changed back to the SS bars and my girlfriend is about to take to me like there is no tomorrow. I know healing is different for each person but she has the magic 2 month time frame in her head thinking everything will be ready by then. Like somehow at midnight it just heals or something. Unfortunately its still tender and painful to have sex. I have been game enough to take them out for a quick jaunt and it made things that much better. Has been a while since full contact. I put a half hour time limit on it just to make sure I was able to get them back in without issue.

Without issue? Hmm not so much the case. The holes at the ridge closed over a little and took quite a bit of work and pain to get them back through, the left side more than the other. None the less it was worth it in the long run and I'm now getting practiced at puting them back in. I had a couple of stretching crescents left over from my septum stretches and found applying one to the hole and pulling slightly that it would open enough to make the jewelry replacement a bit easier.

• 3 Months All is still going well and with the initial healing being fairly quick things have slowed down now and seem to be taking forever to be complete. I'm aware that this may take anywhere up to a year to be done, so I just have to be patient. My girlfriend still insists that I remove them for sex and I haven't been able to see if they're sore to use. The issue I believe is stemming from the 4mm balls being to small. I will endeavor to pick up a set of 6 or 8 and see if that improved the situation. I've also noticed that pulling them out all the time has created quite an odor inside the internally threaded bar. When I replace the jewelry anything in the hole gets caught in the end of the bars and is trapped when I screw the balls on. So every now and then I need to swap them out for a little while and have found boiling them to work well for removing the smell.

They do still bleed from time to time but I think that has something to do with having them in and out all the time. I know I should just let them be but I'm trying for a happy medium.

I'm going to leave it there but will be sure to add some thoughts at a later date. I will leave you with a few items I've figured along the way.

Sensitivity has been reduce a little but since I haven't had a full non-sore test run, I'm not sure on their complete effectiveness for the partner. I have notice through masturbation though that the balls seem to stop anything contacting with the top of my head. Instead it will run over the balls and thus result in less stimulation in that area. I also haven't found them to greatly increase any sensation by means of moving inside the piercing in anyway, as I had previously read.

I cant imagine being without them anymore though. I still really like the look of them and also just the thought of them being there brings a smile to my face.

If you're considering something like this then consider that the commitment is not just to go through the procedure but all that follows. The healing time, the occasional discomfort and the impact it may have on you and your partner. If you're happy with the way that sounds, then all the best in your future work.
