To start off this hasn't been my first body modification. I have had my tongue pierced and one dydoe. I figured it was time for another glorious sensation of pain. So I walked into Freaks on 39th and walked up to Jeremy who did my first dydoe and said...I am ready for another. He was thrill since he was simply just doing inventory.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Jeremy Studio Freaks on 39th Location Kansas City, Missouri USA Jeremy is the most professional piercer I know. He is just awesome I wish I could take him home with me (not is a crazy stalker/serial killer way). Full sterile technique and no pinchers...I mean claps. His piercing room is spotless...it rivals most ERs. He does the basic run down of the size of the needle what type of jewelry (even what brand) and the game plan, how many breaths, and when he is going to do what.
For my first dydoe I didn't know what to expect. I researched allot on the internet to see how its done and how bad it really hurts. To my surprise everyone on the internet was saying it was a cakewalk, it didn't hurt blah blah blah.
When I got my first dydoe he told me strait up this is a no joke piercing...and are you sure that you can handle it. I told yes in a calm collected voice. I was truly ready for this...no problem not nervous or scared just ready to feel the pain.
To tell the truth the first dydoe I got...it hurt. Not like holy shit and gripping the table like someone just chopped you cock off. But more like when ever a needle is shoved through your skin...a little pinch and its over. You stand up pay the man and people outside couldn't think the wiser that you just got a 12-gauge needle through the ridge of your penis. The pain comes in later. The day after I felt a little sore with minimal bleeding. I usually don't bleed much from piercings, which is awesome. I have read and heard horror stories about people getting pierced and it looks like a murder scene gone wild. It just depends on the person...I guess.
The second dydoe was cake (I know hypocrite). But since I was through the procedure before he did the basic run down to refresh my memory. He cleaned everything in the vicinity of the piercing made a couple of marks and tried to line my new dydoe with the old dydoe the best he could compensating for "settling" or movement in the healing process. Three deep breaths and a pinch later I was pierced yet again...and higher than a kite. You gotta to love the euphoria that you receive from a piercing. Mine usually lasts a couple of hours and I have to tell my friends that I only want to get one piercing but by the time the first one is done I am ready for my next one. Good thing I have awesome will power or just a small pocket. After its all done I was going to get the aftercare speech but he asked me if I have any questions on after care since I was still doing it after my last one...4 ½ months ago. Some chitchat about jewelry and what I could get next time. I paid the man and was on my way once again.
A piercer always loves a return customer. A piercer loves it even more when a return customer refers another person. There are no promises of discounts or free rides in this business...even if your buddy's brother's cousin's roommate says he can get you a discount because he is "tight" with the piercer. Piercers gotta eat and have a roof over there head too.
Of course I always get the why question. Why would you do that? Doesn't it hurt? How does it feel when you know...? From the really arrogant people...Can you still pee normal? But once I give them a detailed schismatic of how and what a dydoe is they just cringe. People get pierced for different reasons. Some get pierced to give themselves a pain to get their mind off of another (usually mental/emotional pain). Others just get it because it's the cool thing to do. Some get it because they want to please their lover. Whatever their reasons make sure it's what YOU want to do and not your buddies. Because you must live with it and not them.
One piece of advise it if you are shopping around to get yourself outfitted with a piercing talk to other shops and see what they tell you about piercings and piecers. Also ask to see how clean they really are. Ask for their test results for spores, bacteria, etc. It's your body and you should demand the best. Unless of course you like infections and possible amputation.
