So while utilizing one of my many passwords for being an constant contributer to BMEzine, I was browsing the male genital piercing galleries. I have been trying to decide on which of the many male genital piercings that I would want to do on myself next. I decided on doing two dydoes and maybe in the near future, a possible dydoe crown.

But for this experience I will be writing about just the two dydoe piercings.
I had been planning on doing these piercings for a month or so now, maybe a little more. I had recently made an order of body jewelry from BodyArtForms. With that order it had included two 3/8" 12 gauge surgical steel curved barbells. Those will be used for my two new dydoes.
Now the needle I was using wasn't from BMEshop and I have only used one needle from them before, but I can definately say that the needle I was using was not nearly as sharp as the ones they have here on BMEshop! Oh and by the way I was using a 10 gauge needle for 12 guage jewelry. That, I came to find out was a very bad idea especially if you have an inclination that you might be dealing with an area prone to blood such as with most genital piercings.
I started off by setting up and getting the area prepared. I cleaned off a space on my desk to put a paper towel out for me to put the jewelry on and my needle on. I put down a towel on the floor to catch an blood. Next, I marked the entrance and exit points of the needle for both of the new holes I was going to make. I was satisfied with the placement I had marked for myself. So next, I proceeded to put my gloves on and begin to pierce. I put the needle up to my head and begin to push, the needle was putting up a good fight. It was not very sharp, so with all my man strength I was pushing the needle, then I heard the skin pop and it was through! Then as soon as the needle was through, man oh man did the blood start to flow. Good thing I put that towel down underneath me. I followed the jewelry through after the needle and due to using a smaller size jewelry than the needle it bleed even more when the jewelry was in and the needle was out. But with all the blood pouring out it made it pretty difficult to get the other ball on, especially when the blood kept getting all over my hands. So I kept trying to wipe the blood up and I changed gloves a few times, but that did not work. After about 10 minutes I finnaly got the sucker on. I was a bit relieved. But now on to the next one.
Luckily, after all the blood I have lost, I can still see the other marks I have made for the other piercing. So after wiping all the blood off the needle I pressed it up to my head and began to put force upon it and to attempt to shove it through. Again it was a tad bit difficult because of the dullness of the needle and due to the fact that it had already been used once before. But I managed to get it through again, with a little bit of might. Then as before, I followed the jewelry through after the needle and again it proceeded to bleed like a son of a gun. This time though, with the same amount of blood it was a bit easier to put the ball on for this one.
Now to clean up. I threw the bloodied towel into my luandry bin. Then I took toilet paper and was trying to clean up the blood off of myself. It did not work very well. I decided to do just as I had done before as what I had done with previous bloody piercings down there.
I folded over some toilet paper and made a sort of makeshift bandage and then put an elastic band around it a few times so it would stay put. Just for good measure and since these piercings were bleeding so much I had decided to put another wrapping around it, with another elastic band to secure it in place. I got dressed and went back on about my night, checking every so often to see if the blood has soaked through or not and to see if it was time to change the bandages I had made. It never ended up bleeding through, but when it was time to go to the bathroom I took the toilet paper off and some blood dripped on my boxers. Of course I sat down to pee and, by the time I was done the whole toilet bowl was a red and yellowish type color. Mind you this has already been hours after I had done the piercings and they were still bloody as all hell. So before I went to bed I had wiped myself off again, but this time I had applied some *Stop Bleed from BMEshop. Good stuff I might add, it's very usefull when doing your own home procedures like I do, especially if it is going to be creating a fair amount of blood. So I re-wrapped my genitals and went to bed. Now I woke up and it's the next day and they are still bleeding some. Not nearley as much as when I first did them but still bleeding. Hopefully they will stop soon, so I can sea salt soak them before I am off to a concert tonight.
