Well, you may be asking, "Why would any guy want to put a needle through the head of his penis?! haha Well, let me start off by explaining my reason. (Different people DO have different reasons, you know.) Well, I always wondered what it would be like to have something like an extra piece of something in that area of my body. I started piercing myself when I was 17 and I've been hooked since then. I know many people say you shouldn't pierce yourself in fear of infection, but it's always worked for me in the past.

I already had, at the time I decided to give myself a dydoe, 7 other genital piercings. All of them are vertical frenums, which turned out very well, and I'm quite happy with myself for doing them right. Well, onto the subject at hand.

It was after a long day at work last week that I finally decided that I wanted a dydoe piercing. I've tried doing this piercing in the past, but never went through with it. There are two main reasons for that... One, the pain factor. No, shoving a needle through the head of your penis doesn't feel good. Two, It's actually TOUGH to get the needle through in that area. This came as a big surprise to me since the skin feels so soft.

Well anyway, this time I was determined to do it. There is no turning back at this point. I got all of my equipment out, and got to work. My "equipment" is very basic, and consists of a needle, the barbell to be put in, and a clamp. That's it. I needed a little privacy, and for that I went to the bathroom downstairs. Nobody ever goes down there except for going in and out of the garage. I laid all of my piercing things down in front of me so they could be easily reached. Here's where it gets good. I got my needle out, and placed it about where I wanted it to go into my penis. I marked the exit hole with a small marker I happened to have with me at the time. With that done, I started to push.

Well, I wish I could tell you it went straight through without a single problem, but I can't. The needle seemed to be stuck about a quarter of the way through. I couldn't get it though, nor could I pull it out. It was at this point I said the hell with it and pushed as hard as I could. There was a slight popping sound as the needle ripped throught the layers of skin, but it went almost all the way through. Notice I said ALMOST... I could actually feel the sharp end of the needle coming through the exit hole, which came out right where I wanted it to be I might add. But it just wouldn't go all the way. No matter how hard I pushed, it would just stay there. I thought to myself, "damn, this final layer is sure tough!" But this wasn't a fight I was about to lose.

Well, after another 10 minutes or so, (no exaggeration there) the needle finally popped through the last layer of skin. There, I now had a dydoe piercing. I decided it was time for a break at this point. I went upstairs, got a glass of orange juice from the refrigerator, and took a 5 minute break.

Well, it's time to go back downstairs and finish the job. I got the barbell that was to go in, and unscrewed it. The needle I was using had a little gap in it that the barbell fit perfectly into. I joined the two together, and slid the barbell straight through. This was just about the easiest part of this whole experience. But, that part stung like a mother though. With all of this done, I screwed the bottom ball onto the barbell (and with shaking hands this isn't an easy task) and there. I was done for the most part.

I was really happy with the placement and the way it looked overall. At this point I was thinking about trying it out with my girlfriend, but I know it will be a little while before that's possible. I got some bactine, which is what I always use after a piercing. I applied a little bit of that and pulled my pants back up.

Well, that was about a week ago, and the soreness is starting to go away. Of course, I had the usual crusties and redness in the area, but nothing to worry over. This seems to be another successful piercing for me. I showed it to my girlfriend and she loved it too.

Well, I hoped you learned something out of all of this. I guess I can tell you that it's not a good idea to pierce yourself, but what the hell, it works for me.
