Dave's Dydoes

I first got interested in genital piercing way back in 1977. I had seen a picture of Marilyn Chambers with a ring in her inner labia and it really turned me on, so I proceeded to do three self-piercings with a sewing needle and gold rings and lots of isopropyl alcohol. I did a frenum, and mini PA (it was only about 1/8 of an inch down from the urethra opening) and a dydoe centered on my corona. The dydoe worked its way out quickly because it was very shallow. I stretched the frenum and the mini-PA out by playing with them, and after about five years, I didn't wear any jewelry in them. The mini-PA stretched so much that it finally opened up enlarging the opening to my urethra.
Nothing really happened much for awhile until I read an article in the newspaper about a body piercing studio that did all sorts of piercings including nipples and genitals!!! I thought I would really like to get some piercings done professionally. Still I didn't have the nerve until about five years ago when I say a picture of a penis with multiple dydoes and a frenum ladder. It was in one of those S&M photo news groups and I later found out that it had been downloaded from BME. The picture I got my inspiration from is currently in the dydoe section of BME in the public portion of the men's piercings. When I saw that picture I told myself that I had to have those in my penis. I started to make sketches of my penis and what kind of piercings I wanted. I settled on three frenums, a PA, and six dydoes.
I looked up Attitudes Piercing Studio in the yellow pages and placed a call and talked to Anna. She had been doing piercings for a long time and she was quite knowledgeable. My story on this experience was posted on BME a few years ago entitled My Penis Piercing Story (PA @ Attitudes)
I had been getting a great deal of pleasure out of my piercings, not only through masturbation, but also with my girl friend at the time. She really loved the feeling of my jewelry when we made love and it gave her a great deal of pleasure also. Sadly, our relationship ended recently, so I decided that since it was unlikely that my penis was going to be used for much more than peeing, it was time to put in the dydoes.
This time I scheduled an appointment with Caron, also at Attitudes. I went in for a consultation on a Wednesday and we discussed the placement and type of jewelry. I settled on 14 gauge 3/8" curved barbells with 3/16" beads. I decided on curved because I thought that the curve would naturally settle in the position of least resistance, which would promote healing, and lesson the chance of the jewelry working its way out. I went with the larger beads to lessen the pressure on the surface of the skin around the holes. Caron didn't have the correct jewelry in stock, but promised it the next day, so we set an appointment for Thursday.
I was beside myself with excitement. Just thinking of getting my penis stuck with needles drove me crazy. Finally the appointed time rolled around. Thankfully, Caron locked the outer door to the waiting room and put out the do not disturb sign so we didn't have to worry about getting interrupted. We then proceeded to mark the location of all six dydoes, being careful with line up and spacing. I really appreciate symmetry, so I wanted every thing just so. It took about 45 minutes just to get the markings down the way I wanted them. We both worked on the markings to get them just so. When I was finally satisfied with the markings, Caron did two of the piercings. I had decided to get the two at the back of the corona done this time, the other four to follow. She did the left one first. The worst part was the clamp because it stays on for a while. The needle was a very sharp pain but didn't last very long. She put the jewelry in and tightened up beads. I had been sitting up so I could watch the needle go through. I began to get light headed and she quickly laid me down where I went off to na-na land for a short time. I piece of candy and I was good to go for the next one. The clamp was just as uncomfortable on this one as the first, but the needle was much more painful this time and I let out a big groan. She put the jewelry in that one and cleaned me up. They looked great, however the first one isn't quite as deep as I would like it so I am considering removing it and having it redone after the hole left behind heals.
It has been almost two weeks now and they are healing nicely. They are still a bit tender when I wash them, but they are beginning to dry out with minimum crusties between cleaning. I have been taking 3000 mg of vitamin C a day, and 50 mg of zinc three times a day and I think that has helped a lot with healing.
I plan to go back in a couple of weeks (four weeks after the initial piercing) and have three more done, probably the front two (on the urethra side of the penis) and one of the side ones. At that time I will decide whether or not to deal with the one where the placement may be too shallow. I really want the piercing hole under the corona to be right in the groove between the corona and the shaft.
I think the two dydoes I have so far really look great, especially with the large gauge frenums (8ga, 6ga, and 4ga straight barbells) and the 2 ga curved barbell PA. I can't wait to finish them all off. I wish now that I had gotten three dydoes done the first time so I could do it in two steps instead of three, but as they say, all good things take time.
Caron wants a picture for her portfolio when they are all done, so hopefully I can get it scanned and sent on also.
I will update BME as the rest of the dydoes go in place.
