DYDOES AT THE LONDON PIERCING CLINIC

For several months, I had been talking with Patrick at The London Piercing Clinic about a variety of new piercings in a variety of places, but, in particular in the genital area. He did my Prince Albert several years ago and strectched it up several times later. I have had it as large as 0 gauge, but now I keep my PA at 6 gauge. Needless to say, I have been a fan ever since. Finally, after looking at a number of different piercings, I decided that I wanted to try a series of dydoes - not just a pair, but a dydoe ladder. I must admit that I had not read about a lot of good experiences with dydoes, but the pictures that I had seen looked really good. In particular, I liked the multiple dydoe look that encircled the head of the penis. I talked with Patrick about doing a series of dydoes and he said that while it sounded fine that he would have to take a look to make sure they would work. I learned that for all those who are circumscised, the corona or rim of the base of the head of the penis needs to be fairly pronounced so that there is enough room for the piercing and to help prevent the piercing from migrating out.

I decided that the dydoes were the new piercings that I wanted, so I planned on visiting Patrick at his studio. The shop is located in south London, but it is very easy to get to via train. For all those who are visiting London, this is really a very easy trip. It is only 20 to 30 minutes from central London depending on the scheduling. I went out on a Friday afternoon and talked with Patrick about the piercings. We waited for several other customers to finish so that we could have plenty of time to handle the procedure. I also met Patrick's assistant, Johnny, who is now at the studio. Both really took a great deal of time to help me with the piercings. We talked about the number of dydoes and how they would be done. After doing some measuring, Patrick determined that the dydoes would work, that the rim of my penis was pronounced enough to handle this type of piercing and that there should be no problem doing a dydoe ladder. We decided on a total of six that would encircle the head of my penis. I had a little apprehension about having these six piercings at the same time, but Patrick reassured me that it would really be very easy. Since I do have other genital piercings, I was really determined and ready to go for it. Patrick carefully marked the places for each of the dydoes on the head of my penis. He really took a great deal of time since the placement is very important. The straightness and spacing mattered a great deal to me. I really wanted the dydoes to look good since they are quite visible being on the head of the penis.

I want to emphasize that during this preliminary process, I noticed that everything was very clean and sterile. Both Patrick and Johnny used surgical gloves which they changed several times during the entire process. I really appreciated their efforts to keep everything as clean as possible. With everything marked, it was time to begin the piercings. Patrick used an anesthetic which was administered with no discomfort. I must admit that having the anesthetic really eliminated most of my initial apprehension, especially since I was going to have six new piercings! Patrick then told me that he was about to begin. Before I knew it, the first piercing was done. It was a real rush to know that the first one was in with five more to go. Patrick said that he would do all six piercings and then place the barbells. The process then proceeded very quickly. Johnny kept me posted as to when each piercing was completed since I really couldn't feel enything. I had decided not to watch each separate piercing, but to see the finished job all at once. In no time, all six piercings were done. Patrick explained that due to the nature of the piercings that there would be some bruising and bleeding. During the entire process Johnny kept everything cleaned up. Then, Patrick began inserting the jewelry in each dydoe. He used 14 gauge barbells. After a little final clean-up, I took a look. I couldn't believe it! The dydoes really looked great. I knew that I would like the look, but I had no idea as to how much I would like this look on me. Imagine seeing, for the first time, those six barbells going from the rim of the glans through to the head of the penis. The barbells were very striaght and formed a circle from one side of my penis around to the other side. Patrick said that I could add at least two more if I wanted to at a later date. That is a definite possibility in the not too distant future. It has really turned into a great feeling and quite a turn-on.

The next few days were very easy. There was some small amount of bleeding, but not very much at all. There was no pain and the bruising disappeared in just a couple of days. I was really very surprised at how easy the healing process has been. Many people may not think that this would be an easy set of piercings, but the key is to keep everything in the pierced area clean and not to touch the piercings with unclean hands. I have used warm salt water and an antiseptic liquid soap for cleaning. So far, absolutely no problems. I must admit that what I like now is to see my penis in the mirror with six dydoes - and a few other pieces of jewelry as well! It is really a great look and one I would recommend for those who are looking for something just a bit different. I can truthfully say that this is a set of piercings that I will enjoy for a very long time. I'm not sure what piercings will be next, but I know that I will be back. Thanks to Patrick for another great job and also to Johnny for all his help. The London Piercing Clinic does great work.
