Ok... this is only a recounting of my experience with the procedure itself, it is a given that I cannot give any healing experience yet because I just had it done this week. But I give my healing experience as soon as everything is done doing what its got to do.
At A Glance Author Justin Contact xlescx@hotmail.com When A week ago Location austin, TX I first decided I wanted a transcrotal about a year ago when I saw one in the modcon book. At the time I did not understand the seriousness of the procedure. I looked at it as just another piercing. I began to realize it was not when I found it very difficult to find someone who would perform the procedure. I had a few friends that were piercers and none of them or their coworkers were even willing to attempt it. So finally I came across the perfect man for the job.
We spoke about it and decided and talked of how it was going to be done and discussed the price and decided we wanted to do it. He told me a custom piece of jewelry would have to be made for this procedure. So I went in so he could measure my scrotum and fit me for the jewelry. At first we were going to use a 21/4" X 1/2" Teflon barbell. So I waited patiently for this to be made. After a long wait of about 2 months he told me that the jewelry was in and he was ready to go. He said he made me wait so long to make sure that I really wanted to go through with it because it was not something to take lightly, sort of his own personal psychiatric evaluation if you will.
But now it was the holiday season and I was going to be traveling a lot and we decided it would be best to do it upon my return. So when I got back into town I contacted him and we set a date to do it. It had to be postponed a little while longer because he decided now that he wanted to use an ebony barbell rather than Teflon. This surprised me a lot, but I trust his word being a professional and he guaranteed that it would heal great with organics. So, once the ebony barbell was ready I went in to get the procedure done.
About an hour before my appointment, I applied some EMLA to my scrotum, in an effort to make it a little bit more pleasant. I had been calm all day but once I actually arrived at the shop my heart started breathing fast, but I think it was mostly excitement. We had to wait a few minutes on the camera men/women to show up but we prepped beforehand so when they got there we could begin. And as soon as they did and got set up, we began. The 2 people that were performing the procedure explained to me what exactly was going to occur and then we got to it.
I was already marked and ready to go so we simply got down to business. One person held me testis and made sure that nothing important or dangerous was in the way and also that the markings on each side were lined up. And the other person proceeded to cut through both sides of my scrotum with a scalpel witch took all of about 3 seconds. After that he pushed a 1/2" taper through and then the ebony jewelry, and that was it. Then they cleaned the area put on the o-rings and wrapped it up and I was good to go. The actual procedure itself took only 2 minutes at the most and was really quite amazing, there was not much pain and the pain that did occur was mildly soothing. And yes you heard correctly this was done with no suturing at all and is expected to heal fine, I know of one other person who has done it this way and it healed great... took a while (about 15 months) but did heal great. I think the whole suturing method is simply over-complicating the procedure. I guess I won't be able to say for sure until mine has healed completely.
It has only been 3 days and I have only had one minor complication. The first night I had it done I went to sleep, which was quite difficult might I add. And when I woke up the next morning the rear part of the barbell had been pulled back into my scrotum in the night. I called up the guy who did it, we met immediately, and he said it was fine all it had done was gone back inside the outer sack not the inner sack. So he popped it back out, which was a little uncomfortable to say the least. Then we added huge 6 gauge o-rings to keep this from happening again. And so far there is almost no pain at all and everything seems to be going very well.
Once everything is healed I will be sure and add how my healing experience was in its entirety. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
