It has actually been close to nine months now and as people here have mentioned they like to read on follow-ups to see if they still have the piercing and was it all worth it, I'm here to provide my viewpoints.

I would have to say that my experience with the apadravya has been near to perfect and if you are to follow my lead, I would like to hear from you.

Some initial tips are as follows:

Draw an outline of you penis while both flaccid and while hard. You will want to order two bars. The shorter bar will be best for the initial healing period of a month or two. The longer one will be used for sex.

Get a prince albert first and heal it out completely. An apadravya is essentially two piercings in one and since you can do them separately, do so and it will hurt less and heal with fewer problems.

Do it at 10 gauge since it's more stable.

Wait 5 months and you should be able to up gauge it to 8 by yourself without a taper almost painlessly.

Sit to pee.

Masturbate using two hands so you don't put undo pressure on the barbell.

Expect crusties; nine months later and I still get them every day.

Keep yourself clean, piercings do have a way of getting smelly quickly especially with the use of any under wear (I have 3 guiches as well so it is likely I get smelly 4 times faster than you would).

Do it for yourself

And mostly.... know what you're getting into.

Well, I've posted my past experiences before so I will be brief there and focus on the last 8 months from memory.

Way back in 2002 I had my first piercing which was a prince albert at 10 gauge. It didn't work out as the ring was uncomfortable and I took it out one day and couldn't get it back in. Then in 2004 I went back to the same place and did it again. At the same time I had a guiche which didn't turn out good so I let it heal back over. The PA was successful that time and I healed it without up-gauging it. Then two years later (june 2006) I went back for an apadravya (10 gauge 1 3/8" barbell [also bought an 8 ga barbell at the same time]) and decided to get 3 guiches at once (12 gauge 1/2" d-ring). The guiches hurt a bit, the one closest to my ass hurt the most; and I screamed after the apadravya and scared the other clients in the shop who were no older than 20; they weren't all done the same day (guiches one day, apadravya another; I've since forgotten which came first). Jump to July and I'm in San Francisco on business. I decided that the healing of the apadravya was taking too long and that a shorter barbell would help and so I took a walk down town to Body Manipulations. There they had a 1 1/4" 10 ga barbell and a 1 1/6" 8 ga barbell in stock so i picked up both for under thirty dollars. There is no place in north carolina that keeps long 10 gauge and 8 gauge barbells in stock. Congratulations San Francisco.

I changed out the 10 ga barbell for the shorter one and things were better. In november I was able to insert the 8 ga barbell and started off with the short one. Two weeks later I began using the 1 3/8" and haven't looked back since. I went back to my piercer to see about getting additional balls for in case mine were ever to get lost as sometimes they do come loose after sex and I forget to retighten it afterward but she couldn't find any with the same size threading.

And as for the guiches, the middle one turned out perfectly and still has the original d ring but the two others had to be changed out for 3/8" d rings. I should hang my wind chimes from them more often.

And so here it is, March 21, Spring 2007. There is still plenty of redness after masturbating when I do so for 20 minutes or more. But it only hurts when the piercing knocks the floor (I sleep on the floor, which is hardwood). I still haven't had sex with a woman yet and all the men I show it to are quite impressed. I definitely have more balls than most.

Would I do it again? Hell yeah, in a heart beat. No doubt about it. I check my email listed above daily so whoever has any further questions or comments, please feel free to ask and I'll get back to you shortly.
