I was born with Hypospadias and a natural Meatotomy. Due to a botched surgery from an attempt to repair the Hypospadias when I was a child, I was left with a strictured urethra. I never knew about it or had any problems with urinating until I was twenty years old. So, when it became a problem ( a weak urine stream and having to strain to push out only a few drops of urine at a time ), I had surgery and the stricture was repaired.
At A Glance Author TurtleMan Contact TurtleMan@bme.anon When A week ago Artist Derek Lowe Studio St. Sabrina's Location Minneapolis, MN USA I had been wanting to get an Apadravya for years but I never thought it would be a wise move. I didn't want to mess up any of the repairs that I had done down there. After doing some research on the BME Encyclopedia and learning where the exact placement of the piercing would be, I discovered that based upon my personal anatomy, I would not be negatively affected in any way. I even made an appointment with my urologist to get his opinion in the matter. When I told him why I had made an appointment with him he gave me a look like "Why, the fuck would you do that?" But, he said the piercing would be fine and not harm anything.
I drove to Minneapolis on President's Day. I was in the neighborhood of St. Sabrina's to check out a school about two miles away. But, being President's Day, it was closed. I had no intention of getting pierced that day, I just wanted to visit the school. But, now I had the free time, I had the money, I had previously been given the go ahead from the urologist, and I was too near the shop not to get it done.
I arrived to St. Sabrina's around 11:00am. The people at the counter were very friendly and helpful upon entering the shop and when showing me jewelry. Being a walk-in customer, I had to wait ( respectively ) for my turn behind the people with scheduled appointments and the walk-in customers that had arrived before myself. It was a holiday and kids were out of school. To say the least it was pretty busy for their business and I didn't get into the piercing room until after 1:00pm. I was nervous as hell about this piercing, and waiting just made me real anxious.
Derek Lowe was who pierced me. He had never done an Apadravya on someone with a Meatotomy before. So, he took his time inspecting what he had to work with and deciding if he could do it or not. He said that he could do it and I gave him the "ok." He cleaned me up and took measurements for the barbell length. He then marked the placement where the enter and exit holes would be.
I was lying on the "cot" ( for lack of the proper term ) while Derek was prepping his tools. When he was ready he clamped me up and then placed the needle on the underside of my glans. After re-inspecting the area for proper placement one more time, he had me start the deep breathing. "Breath in, Breath ou"..."OUCH!" The first half of the needle going through was just mild pain, nothing much. But, the second half... aaahhh, that was the most intense pressure, pinching, and ripping pain that I have ever experienced. It hurt, and the whole experience probably only lasted for about seven seconds. He then put the barbell through the glans and tightened up the balls.
There initially wasn't too much blood at all. Derek had the wonderful job of wrapping gauze around my dick. He then put a rubber glove over the gauze and my junk. He fastened it upon the base of my shaft securely so it wouldn't fall off with two properly placed rubber bands. He went over the aftercare with me and answered all the questions that I had, and asked me if I had anymore.
I bled for the first two days after being pierced. Nothing much, nut enough to stain clothing and bed sheets. I wore a non-lubricated condom with gauze wrapped around my dick for the first three days until the bleeding stopped. I took it off when I urinated or took a shower. I threw out the old gauze and used fresh gauze after every time that I used the bathroom. I did the same with condoms. It may seem unnecessary and obsessive, but that is what I did. Two weeks later it does still hurt if it gets bumped or tugged on by clothing or if I get an erection in my sleep. However, I do not know if I delayed the healing process by having sex only four days after getting pierced. For the most part, it is a really comfortable piercing. Sometimes I forget that it is even there.
I do have some lymph that is being excreted from the piercing holes. It is accumulating more on the bottom ball then the top. I assume that it is because of gravity. The lymph dries up as "crusties," which makes it very painful if the barbell is caked with them. Especially if it slides around with an erection of the head is bumped while flaccid. I take a warm shower once every morning and immediately after the shower I do a sea salt water soak. I usually only do one more soak before I go to bed. If there is a lot of built up and dried lymph I usually do more than two soaks a day.
Sex is great with the Apadravya. It compliments my lovers anatomy and she really loves it. It is great for me, as well. The feeling for me was a mix of pain and pleasure. But, like I said I had sex only four days after being pierced and I was not completely healed. Initially penetration was somewhat difficult, but easier with a shortened barbell. Plenty of a water based lubricant goes a long way. I know that I didn't make the wisest decision by having sex before being healed, it hurt too damn much. I would advise anyone to abstain from intercourse until they are fully healed. I am going to hold off on sex at least for another two months, or until I feel that I can "safely" and comfortably participate.
I love my Apadravya. Knowing now how much it hurt to get done, I would do it again in a second. Getting pierced there is a real nice rush. Much respect to Derek for answering all my questions and having to inspect my dick for so long. I hope he learned something new and can apply that knowledge to someone else.
Peace,
