The Decision

About a year and a half ago me and my girlfriend were talking about various types of piercings and the subject of genital piercings came up, naturally various jokes were made about how much fun sex would be if one (or both) of us had a piercing or two below the belt. This conversation lasted about twenty or thirty minutes, and the subject never came up again. However, I continued to study up on the subject. Looking at and researching various types of genital piercings, apadravyas, ampallangs, PAs, frenum, frenum ladders, etc. Well, while I liked all of them, I decided that getting a double apadravya would be the best looking, and having no previous sexual experience, I had no clue whether it would make sex more fun or enjoyable or not, I simply decided on the best looking piercing. Of course, the fact that it looks like it has eyes now was an added bonus.

The Act of Research

Well, having decided on my piercing, naturally it was time to find out what I was getting myself into. I began reading forums and talking to people, trying to find out how much pain I could expect, and whether it was really a good idea. Turns out, one person on this forum compared it to losing some of his fingers; this naturally made me more nervous about getting it done. But, this did not deter me from my decided course of action. Especially since one of the people I talked to told me it was the best decision he's made as far as bodymods go.

The Tattoo Shop

Now standing in the tattoo shop and talking to the guy behind the counter while the woman who was going to be driving two surgical steel bars through the most sensitive part of my body prepared the piercing room and filling out my consent form, I was having second guesses. Thankfully my friend told me if I left now, he would knock me unconscious and take me into the room anyway. I chose my barbells (12 gauge) and whipped out my penis, apologized for the remarkably small size (I don't care what anyone says, he knows when you're doing something he doesn't like, and he hides when it's near), and lied back while my friend spoke with the apprentice about his piercings, and awaited

The Piercing

As I was laying there, she asked to breath in and breath out, as I breathed out I began grunting and moaning as the sharp pain of having a piercing needle shoved through my glans rushed up my body and my muscles tensed and my friend pushed on my chest to relax my muscles and press my back back down onto the table. And then the pain stopped, thankfully the apprentice made sure to walk through the process, telling me what she was doing as she did it, the marking, the piercing and the threading of the barbell through my new hole. Now that the pain of the first was done, my adrenaline was mostly used up, meaning that the second one was going to hurt more. Yay. She cleaned the area once more and prepped me for the second piercing. She placed the tip of the needle against my glans one last time breath in, breath out, moan, and groan and try not to squirm.

The Pain

Something the reader should know about me is that I'm into BDSM, I enjoy pain, but I did not enjoy getting a bolt rammed through my dick. So I'm not going to lie, it hurt, a lot. Most people say that the pain only lasts a few seconds, while this is true, it feels like Much, Much longer when you're lying on the table. But, over all, I would have to say it was the most painful experience I've ever endured. But it was worth it.

The Aftermath

I've had my piercing for about a month now (oct. 20, 2006) and I have to say, I love my piercing, it looks great, and I have a new sense of self worth. I have to say, I feel like more of a man having endured this experience, and I can see now why it used to be a right of passage to have something like this done to you. And still is in some cultures.

Suggestions For People Considering This Piercing

If you want to get a double apadravya, get them both at the same time, if you get them on different days, the healing will take longer, and it's just spreading the pain out. Also, clean it often, I know these don't usually bleed, but mine did, and crusted blood isn't fun to clean off of any piercing; besides it helps the healing process. And of course, remember, it does hurt, but people always imagine more pain than they are going to get, so just go for it! You won't regret it!
