When It just happened

To start off, I would like to say that this piercing hurts and in hindsight, probably not a good idea to do yourself. I read about a "slight uncomfortable feeling" and being "not too bad." It does hurt. For days. But I did read that it hurts to pee and in my case, not at all so, I guess thats different for various people.

I had been thinking about this piercing for a while now. I knew that if I were to get a genital piercing that I would have to get an apadravya. You see, I have this weird thing about things being balanced and symmetrical. One night after work I finally decided to go ahead with it. Since I wasn't too keen on shelling out that kind of money for some random dude to stab my junk, I pulled out one of my own piercing needles and decided to do it myself. I put a long barbell and the needle in some alcohol and went and put some ice and water in a bowl and went to my bathroom. I put on a movie to distract me and started to soak my penis. I let it sit in the ice water for about five minutes until it was numb. Well, actually, it hurt. I then started to stick the needle through. It was actually tough to get it going, more so than I thought. I knew when I reached the halfway point because blood began to pour out of my penis. I quickly pushed the needle through and the bleeding subsided quite a bit. At this point, the tip of the needle was at the bottom of my penis and the numbing had worn off. i poked the tip through and pushed. It barely moved and it hurt. I kept a little pressure on it just so it wouldn't move but took a break for a minute. Then I gave it another push, still only moved a little, but that little bit was enough to open it up and bring on the bleeding again. I took a piece of gauze and put it at the end of the needle and gave it one last push. I took a breath and relaxed. Then I got the barbell and put it in the needle with the intent on just pulling out the needle around the barbell and putting the other end on. That is exactly what happened except the blood just started to pour out. At this point, I looked like I had just murdered someone so I took a shower to wash it all off and let the bleeding slow down, which it did. I then wrapped it up in some gauze and called it a day.

It's been three days and it is doing much better. Last night however, I changed out the barbell to a longer one because my penis had swelled a little and the barbell was pinching. I decided to do this in the shower because of all the bleeding the night before. So, in the shower, I pulled out the barbell and on came the blood. I never expected that much blood to come from such a small hole (it was only fourteen gauge) but I guess it makes sense since that's how the whole thing works. Anywho, I pulled out the old barbell and through all the blood, I found my way through with the new barbell. I put the ends on and the bleeding continued. It turns out, the other barbell was keeping the holes closed, without that the blood continued out. I had to let it sit in the shower and bleed until it stopped. It took a couple minutes, but it stopped so, once again after that trauma, I decided to call it a day and went to bed. That night, since it had stopped bleeding and the barbell was much longer, I didn't wrap it. That w as a bad idea. A really bad idea. Every time I moved, my underwear caught the barbell and an intense pain went shooting up my penis. In addition, every time the barbell was caught by my underwear, it opened up the top and blood came out. I didn't realize this until about five o'clock this morning when I woke up to one of those intense shooting pains and I reached down to adjust and felt the blood pooling on my boxers. Not a very pleasant surprise. So I changed them out and went back to bed for a couple of hours. So far, so good today. As of thus far I have only lost a pair of underwear out of the whole thing and everything is doing much better. Still a little bleeding every once in a while and some bruising left, but not constant pain although it does sting when it's bumped or moved suddenly. I imagine this will all go away in another couple of days.
