In 1991 I gave myself a Prince Albert, using a star-wheel leather hole punch, a wash cloth full of ice cubes (to desensitize my penis head), and a bunch of rubber bands to cause the punch to cut through; I wrote about it on this site:

It was not a good experience, as I did it myself with no guidance, used jewelry that was too small in gauge, and experienced the "cheese cutter" effect! I don't recommend doing it yourself - at least as I did.
In 1994 I had Pierre Black of Black Sun Studio in Montreal give me a Reverse Price Albert ("Apadravya", as the new piercing was through the previous Prince Albert piercing). I had seen Pierre do a piercing publicly at the (now closed) "Fetish Cafe" in Montreal, and decided one day I would seek Pierre out. I wrote about this one on this site too:

This experience was a good one, and if Pierre was still in the piercing business (see below), I'd recommend him heartily.
About a year later, I had a "Lori's Chastity Tube" made to my specifications. I included a drawing with exact dimensions, and an instruction as to why the dimensions were necessary. The "Tube" was to be secured by an 8 gauge pin and lock, which would go down through the top of the "Tube" (and my penis head), and out a hole in the bottom of the "Tube", at about a 10 degree angle from top outwards towards the bottom. The "Tube" cost close to $500 (US) to craft, and took several months. When it arrived I immediately noticed the angle of the pin was backwards. Nonetheless, I attempted to install it, and caused my Apadravya to bleed. I removed it, and waited several days to reinstall my 1" diameter, 8 gauge seamless ring. Unfortunately, the abrasion in my Apadravya caused the piercing to heal shut, and the ring would not go it!
I went to Pierre a few months later to get the Apadravya re-pierced (re-dux), and due to miscommunication, the visit was a failure. Not only had it taken me two hours to get to Pierre's studio, but another two hours to return home in northern New York. Another visit a month later resulted in another miscommunications, and wasted trip. I gave up.
Finally in July, 2006, I did an Internet search on Black Sun to find their phone number, only to discover that Pierre had gone out of business! After searching for close to an hour I discovered "X/S ME Style". (The reason for the lengthy search was - almost all Montreal piercing studios advertise in French - and my search was done in English!). I learned that no appointment was necessary, and the cost would be about $100 Canadian, using my own jewelry.
My wife and I drove to Montreal's west end and found "X/S ME Style" after getting lost only twice. At the first location we went to, we were told "we don't do RPA's here"; they gave us directions to a second location; we were on the road again, and only got lost once on our second quest.
Leslee James Dery said he had experience with RPS's (Apadravya piercing), but recommended against any desensitizing creams. After some discussion we learned that "Emla" was available at a nearby drug store, and elected to find some, in spite of Leslee's recommendation. When we returned, we read the directions on the "Emla" box, and following directions, put half a tube on the head of my penis, and waited an hour, along with an included pad (dressing) to keep the cream in place and prevent it from getting all over my underwear. Fortunately there was a pizza restaurant next door!
At about eight o'clock that night I was installed in Leslee's piercing chair. We discussed the pending re-piercing; he had never done a Apadravya (we learned the name from him), but was confident he could do it for me. He placed the receiving tube through the hole on the bottom (Price Albert), and drove the needle through the top, -the same as my previous piercing. I felt absolutely nothing. Some people will probably say I "wimped out" for having used the "Elma"; my thinking is: I saved people's ear drums!
Leslee gave aftercare instructions, including sea salt bath, and special soap. We left after thanking him for a professional, stress-free procedure (although I did almost pass out AFTER the piercing was done).
Two days later I removed the "bar bell" (horse shoe?) jewelry, and replaced it with my 1" diameter, 8 gauge segment ring. After three days, I attached a 1' length of chain to the ring. And after a week, I locked the other end of the chain to a "belly chain" - thus effectively creating a chastity device that really worked!
I told Leslee I'd write this, and send him the URL. Hope it helps his business and his professional career.
