How do I start this out. I am 23 will turn 24 this year. I had several ear piercings about year and a half ago and decided I wanted a serious piercing. At the time I was looking at an ampallang or dydoes. I visited holier than thou in Wichita Ks and Shane ask me a few questions and told me I should go home and do some more research and if 6 to 8 months from now I still wanted the piercing to come back and we could do it again, this was good advice. I thought about it, went back a couple weeks later and got myself a prince albert. I loved this piercing, but after a while I just thought I needed something more. So about 2 years later I decided it was time to convert my prince to an apadravya. I called Holier than thou and they told me only shane could do those and she was busy with side projects that meant her piercing schedule was limited, they recommended a couple of other piercers and I did some digging and decided on 23rd St Body Piercing in OKC, OK one of the shops recommended by Holier than thou. This was about 1 and a half hours from me and not a place I visited frequently, this would be to my favor help keep me from backing out once i got there.
At A Glance Author anonymous When Three months ago Once I got there they asked me a few questions and had me fill out some forms and told me to sit because the piercers were busy. The wait was killing me and made me nervous as hell. When they called me back to the piercer we talked about the piercing and he said he had one and what to expect. He said it was about 30 seconds of the most intense pain you have ever felt. He cleaned it up got all the necessary tools out. He put on the clamps to hold it told me to lay back relax, take a deep breath and WOW! If I would have had a lump of coal in my ass I would have squeezed out a diamond. He said he was almost done when more pain as he pushed the barbell through the top hole. He let me take a look at it awesome. The endorphins kicked in and I was on cloud nine. He put gave me a rubber glove and said he was surprised no blood had came out. Then he gave me some extra gloves and led me to the front. I got some aftercare supplies and the gal up front said go commando as much as you can for the next several months (Good Advice). I got in my car still feeling the high and headed home. Shortly after hitting the road the blood started to flow. It bleed over the weekend a lot and started slowing up over the next week. Following the aftercare procedures seemed to help. It bled a little more than the prince albert, but luckily he was able to match up my PA hole, so only half the pain/healing.
It is now almost 2 months since that day and I have since purchased and inserted the correct size of jewelery and all is well. I have yet to have sex with it but I have squeezed one off and it was a little awkward. Definitely no more shooting it across the room but other than that no difference from the PA. I am looking forward to playing with it but promised myself I would wait until the 2 month mark. My girlfriend is anxious to see if the apadravya makes a difference from the PA.
I recommend laying low with it for a couple of months no reason to take a chance of getting it infected or longterm discomfort or pain. Finally be comfortable going commando for a month or so. The last thing you want to do is catch this thing on your briefs or boxers when your standing up (trust me OUCH). If your near Wichita or OKC either one of the establishments I mentioned I would recommend. The folks were courteous and professional and didn't take this lightly. Plus the environments were sterile and in good order.
30 seconds is nothing man if you want it and you're sure, then do it but, like any other body mod do it for you not to for anyone else. You have to live with the decision and I am very happy with my Apadravya. I plan on posting a pic or two as well. So far I like it better than my prince albert, but time will tell. I guess my girlfriend will have the final say. She can't wait to take it for a test drive!
