I will start with giving a bit of background; I have had three piercings before, my ear pierced with a gun about 8 years ago (lame I know!!), the second was still nothing big but a step in the right direction, a tongue web (frenum). Apart from my ear, my mum would never allow me to get any piercings whilst I was living in her house, so I had to always get 'hidden' piercings. This only left genitals. So the third piercing I got was a Prince Albert. This was definitely a big step for me and you can read about my experience here (http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/09-male/pa/A50225/papaat16.html). I really liked the feel of it and didn't want to loose it, but was forced to take it out when I lost the ball from the ring. I couldn't get a replacement in time so it closed up.
At A Glance Author Richard Contact Richard@bme.anon When It just happened Artist stu Studio otherside Location belfast After loosing my PA :,} my dick felt lonely again, I went to my usual piercing studio, the Otherside in Belfast to get an apadravya , I highly recommend it for anyone in the Belfast area, but was disappointed to find that they did not have the right sized barbell to do the job. They were waiting on an order to come in and told me to come back in a few days. It was a week before I could get the chance to come back due to work commitments and by this time I had gotten into a new relationship, so I had to put it off. (not being able to have sex for a while and all that}.
Three months later and I had put the idea to the back of my mind. I then split with my girlfriend, and the following Friday the idea came back into my mind. I realised that I wasn't de to work that Saturday so I decided I would go for it.
I chose an apadravya because it could be pierced through the scar of my PA and would not give me the same problems with urinating. Saturday came and I was nervous as hell! I went to the studio and told him what I wanted. He told me that he wasn't prepared to do it on anyone that didn't have atleast a PA. Something to do with how extreme it is ( this made me feel kind of baddass!). I explained to him that I had already had one so I was in luck, but not just yet. He told me he'd have to check to see if he had the appropriate barbell, I was half wanting him not to have it so I could cop out but I relieved that he did. He told me to come back in about 20mins, he always does this so you can calm down, it gave me the chance to go far a smoke to gather my nerves.
20 minutes felt like forever, so when it came I headed back. I dropped the appropriate clothing and lay back on the bed, strangely this didn't feel strange lol. He marked the entry and exit marks, I got him to do it so as the barbell came out the scar from my previous PA. I was happy with the placing so I instructed him to go ahead. He clamped me up which didn't feel sore or anything, and then came the moment of truth. He told me to lie back as I really didn't want to see this so I did, even though part of me did and the other part wanted me to run out the door. I felt scratching as he aligned the needle to markings and told me to take a deep breath, then wham, he proceeded to push the needle trough my dick. It was intense to say the least, the most painful thing I have ever felt! Then came the jewellery, this was bout one and a half times as painful, I he pushed the jewellery through the bottom part (PA hole) which was intense and I thought he was done but then he told me to take a deep breath, this scared me as I realised there was more pain to come, this was much worse as he pushed through the upper half! I was then wrapped up and left.
The bleeding was not half as bad as with the PA, strange! But then again it's only been about 9 hour, so I will probably wake up in a sea of red! In my opinion it was worth it and if anyone out there is considering it I say go for it, just make sure you research it. Even if you are considering a PA, I would say go for the apa as it is a much better looking piercing, pleases your partner better and you do not have any problems with pissing!! I hope this answers any questions you might have, but just make sure your piercing studio is clean.
